When I woke up in another dimension, surrounded by nothingness and a ROB. I did not know I would be offered to quest around the multiverse to fix different problems or gain power. But we both knew the real reason; it was more than simply questing across the multiverse. It was my journey to become more and find my purpose. (All properties, characters, and settings mentioned belong to their original creators) ( Except chapters in the middle or end of the day)
(By the way, in the future, If I refer to Zion as Scion or vice versa, they are essentially the same being.)
Entry 17:
Linus Ozias POV:
It's the end of the third week now, and in a couple of hours, I will be gaining my next tech tree and nothing has happened since the initial meeting with Max Anders.
" I am really tempting Murphy with these thoughts of mine. Better think of something else before I start raising more flags." I say to myself as I try to invent further methods of canceling out parahuman powers.
The prototype looks similar to the depowering ray from the DC universe, specifically those used against the Justice Lords in the animated show.
But it is very rudimentary, and if it does work, it would only cancel out their abilities for a couple of minutes. Still, it will improve as I constantly receive data from the nanobots within various parahumans.
I've been trying to miniaturize the design as I always want to have one on my person in case Cauldron comes knocking.
The process is slow going as I've been working on this prototype nearly all day. The benefit of having multiple androids to act as your assistants is that you don't have to do much paperwork.
And to be honest, it's funny because some of the regular human workers are taking some of the androids out drinking. While the androids have programmed alcoholic tolerances, they can't get drunk, so I've been getting some funny videos of different bar competitions.
Each one of the programmed Androids has their property as well as their own back story created by Dread, and luckily, Dragon has been busy with her stuff, most likely preparing more end-bringer defenses, speaking of which I need to deal with the Dragon Slayers those idiots really need to be dealt with.
" Because hey, if you can't help out the best girl of worm, are you really a reincarnated protagonist?" I think to myself in an amused tone.
" Dread, is there any news on the location of the dragon slayers?" I ask my AI, as I've already sent out a couple of groups of different animals to act as my eyes in the sky.
[Saint Has Yet To Be Identified Sir, But I Have Been Able To Narrow Down A Search Area]
Well, that's not good, but knowing Dread, he's working as hard as possible. I feel like it's a bit personal for him since St is essentially planning a murder or is holding a gun to a fellow AI's head.
I leave him to continue his search while also allowing him more resources towards it, specifically more drones you could use in the form of various species of birds because, hey, if pigeons and crows are going to be referred to as the rats in the sky, I might as well have control of the rats.
I look towards my wristwatch and see that it is around 9:00 p.m., and I will receive my tech tree in three hours, so I decide to rest and eat a late dinner.
(By the way, I will add pictures of what his underground base looks like in the comments.)
As I return upstairs, I find Kara hard at work along with Marcus, as they are both the home's caretakers when they're not guarding me.
Noticing my presence, the two stop what they're doing, with Kara asking, "Hello sir, is there anything you need."
"Just some necessary sustenance, Kara, as I have been in the lab for too long. A man can only survive on solar radiation for so long." I say to her while smiling with her, then nodding and walking towards the kitchen.
Marcus proceeds to do the same as he prepares the table, but sadly, Connor is not here as he is busy updating our security at various locations. I force them to take breaks, usually for necessary maintenance or repairs.
Tonight's menu consists of broiled salmon along with a chickpea salad. It's pretty light, but I only want to eat something light before going to sleep, even if I don't need it. It's the thought that counts.
I thank Kara for the meals and Marcus for setting up the table. But while Kara seemingly radiates positive energy, Marcus smiles, with both of them returning to their work.
After finishing my meal, I do a final slight inspection of the current projects within the underground lab.
I have various experiments in the works, ranging from more advanced weaponry to body armor and tests relating to extra-dimensional energies.
But before going to bed, I decided to do some star gazing as I have roof access in my home, and it's flat heck. It even has a garden and bar up here.
I then proceed to sit on a white plastic, and it seems to calm me as I just take in the view. I just saw and took in the stillness as well. I am outside the city; I have a decent view of the skylight, and it's hard to believe that such a bright city is so dark and rotting.
I'm just here to remind myself what I'm fighting for because I know others will not agree with my methods. They will believe they're too extreme or outside of the law.
" Is this how Thanos felt with this whole stick of being the one that has to make the hard decisions with the strongest will? If only I were insane, maybe I am?" I say to myself while sipping from my trusty Vault 13 canteen.
" Am I making the right choice? Many would argue that I'm just being a wuss or complaining too much, but I feel lost."
" If only I had some wise older man to help me out of this funk, but it's only me and my androids and AI. I need to get a girlfriend." I say while sighing.
I sit and gaze at the stars, hopefully without looking at the angel up there that drives people crazy, and as the clock strikes midnight, new information floods my brain.
I smile widely as I stand up and say, "I guess it's time to catch them all, but first, make a new friend."
I make my way back down to the lab and begin to tinker because, you know what they say, time waits for no man, and I am going to dang well catch an end bringer in a master ball. (It's not possible, but let's not tell him that.)
Timeskip No Justu (5 Hours Later)
Omni POV:
Looking around at an advanced lab, we see a silver-haired man staring at an oddly shaped being. It's colored blue and red with black dots for eyes, but as it looks up at the silver-haired man, even though it doesn't have a mouth.
(Porygon Pictures)
The man then reaches down to the creature, holds it in his arms with an almost tender countenance as if afraid it'll fall to pieces, and then hugs it.
As if accepting its fate, the creature pulls deeper into the hug as if it is afraid the warmth will leave, but then it looks up to the man and nods as if answering some unspoken question.
The man smiles tenderly and then says to the porygon, "Welcome to the world of the living Porygon. I would be honored to be your trainer, so let's change the world together."
The scene then fades out to the rising sun as if heralding a brighter tomorrow.
