When we were all done eating the men grabbed their dishes and started towards the kitchen. Chase stopped and grabbed mine on his way and placed them on top of his. "Thank you", I said softly. He nodded and I followed behind him and the others. I was unsure of what to do now and feeling out of place with nothing to carry. Once they placed their dishes in the sink I walked over and began to wash them.
I heard James whisper to Logan, "I hope you know Eric is going to take you down in sparring tomorrow". Logan froze and Chase clapped him on the back. "It's going to be great. I hope it was worth it", Chase chuckled the words. Logan turned around and looked at me with a bit of a worried expression then softened. "It was worth it for sure", Logan answered. I hid a smile and focused on my work.
Chase came up beside me and spoke sweetly, "Go on to bed Little Wolf. Logan and I will finish these tonight". James took my hand and started to lead me away. "I had fun tonight. See you tomorrow Little Wolf", Logan called after us.
James led me up the staircase all the way to my bedroom door. He pointed two doors down on the right and said, "That is my room. If you need anything my door will be unlocked". He pushed my door open and leaned close, "Goodnight Little Wolf". His honey voice was alluring and it made my knees weak. I could feel his breath on my ear with every word and it gave me cold chills. I stepped away, my inner wolf cursing me.
My body felt flushed as I entered my room and closed the door. As soon as the door shut I let my dress hit the floor. I had endured the confinements of the material for far too long. I hopped up on the bed and pulled the covers over me. Then I pushed the covers back off and laid there staring at the ceiling. It's not that the bed was uncomfortable but that it was too comfortable. I could not remember the last time I had actually slept in a bed or had ever had a room to myself. I laid there for what must have been hours before my mind finally shut off.
