"A BALL" Ash shrieked, her head spinning. A ball was not her idea of fun, being around all of those other wolves. She may be the Alphas daughter but with her unique looks everyone will stare. She was such an introvert and these things made her so nervous. She felt like she was going to be sick.
"Well it is in honor of you dear" Her mother said walking around the corner. "You have not found you mate yet and you barely go anywhere to meet anyone."
"I am fine, being alone" Ash muttered looking at her nails. Her mother and father just looked at her appalled she would even say something like that. Finding your mate was one of the biggest things for a wolf. "When is the ball?" She asked
"In two days" Her father said quietly, not wanting the rath of his daughter realizing how short of notice she has.
"Seriously!" Seth said excitedly. Sure it was all fun and games for him, he found his mate just after he turned 18. Abbigail was her name she as a petite wolf. Seth took off out the door. Their mother just laughing.
"It will be good for you, get to meet some more packs" Her father said. Ash just huffed, ignoring her parents and walking away.
She made it to her room and flopped down on the bed, she really wasn't looking forward to having to go to this ball, dressing up was not her thing at all. She knew her mother would want to take her to the mall to do some dress shopping. "Oh Gryffin, why cant we just be like everyone else." She muttered to her wolf. No response as per usual. Her wolf was more extroverted then she was. Ash stared up at her ceiling trying to figure out ways to get out of this ball. The only plus to it all was she was able to wear a mask, no one would even know it was her hopefully. Oh what was she kidding, her hair and eyes are a dead give away.
Ash grabbed a quick shower washing all the sweat away from her training earlier, changing into a pair of forest green leggings and a flowy black v neck t-shirt and a pair of black converse, and made her way back down to the kitchen, her parents still there talking quietly amongst themselves. She wanted to glare at them but she knew they were only looking out for her. She should really have found her mate by now. She was torn, she always wanted to find her mate but the thought of leaving her family made her sick. She knew she would have to once she found him she just had that gut feeling.
"I guess we have to go look for a dress" She said quietly looking at her mother who's eyes lit up like it was Christmas morning. Ash couldn't help but laugh a little.
"Oh hunny, wait right there." Her mother beamed running off. Ash guessed she was just getting dressed to go out.
"Your going to make her so happy by doing this willingly." Her father said coming over to give her a hug.
"I am just nervous, What if no one like me. I may never find my mate. Forever alone." Ash said looking up at him.
"You are brilliant, the are fools if they don't like you." He said as her mother ran back into the kitchen car keys jingling at her side and purse around her body. Her father just looked at her mother. She envied the way they always looked at each other it was like they were falling in love all over again. She wanted that kind of love. The never ending love.
"Ready?" her mother asked.
"As ready as I will ever be" Ash replied.
They arrived at the mall 30 minutes later, luckily there was not many people there yet. They were able to look in relative peace. Her mother found a simple red dress for herself and a mask to go with it in the same shade with black lining the outside. Finding a dress for Ash was proving to be a little more difficult then she was hoping. Trying to find something to go with her pale complexion, her hair and eyes. Almost two hours later and 7 shops that they went back and forth into Ash found a Simple floor length gown, with a slit going up the left side of her leg. The top has thin straps and was a sweet hear neckline, with a low cut back. The dress was royal blue in colour. The mask to match was the same colour, silver lining the edges and some black gemstones around the eyes.
"Oh that looks amazing on you" Her mother cooed.
When the girls finally made their way home, Ash was exhausted, it was nearing 9 at night. She hung her dress in her closet and lay on her bed fully clothed and fell asleep.
