It was the morning of departure Iris packed food and spices for the men. Aron hugs Iris saying he will be back soon and not to worry. Iris chuckles saying that is never going to happen. Murtagh kiss Iris before holding her. "you behave and keep the fires warm. I will be back soon with your boy too." He said before mounting his horse. Iris watches as the caravan of men left till they were out of sight. "You have the look of a worried mother. You don't need to worry Aron will be fin and so will Murtagh. Now come we have to make breakfast for the rest of the clan. The lads love your cookin lucky lad Murtagh is to have ya." Mrs.Fitz said leading me inside.

Murtagh was a kind man and good for my mother. I just wanted to be sure he wouldn't hurt her like the others. "So lad I hear you getting along with the lassies." The one they called Dougal said making the men chuckle. "I may like one." I said blushing from embarrassment. "Ah nothing to be embarrassed over lad just shows your healthy." He said before making crude comments. "I have not found a lass with such a bright smile. The mere sight of it makes me weak. The sent of fresh Sage and Lemon grass." I said with a boyish grin just thinking of her makes me happy. "She sounds like a dream more than a lass boy." He laughed "She is Mrs.Fitz granddaughter." Murtagh jumps in. "I caught the two of them locking lips in the kitchen a day ago." I felt like I was going to die. "Oh so you like the thin lassies boy I tell ya now. You will never go back to the skinny twigs when you have yourself a fine round beast of a woman. I like to keep warm at night don't worry lad. You have her pop out some kids she will be round." Dougal said before we found a spot to rest the horses. The woman known as Claire was watching me and it was creepy. I can't do anything for now just got to wait it out.

Murtagh and I took watch while the other's rest. "You know my mother has been with other men right." I said coming out the gate. "Aye lad I am aware of her previous suitors." He said carving something. "Your not going to leave her like they did are you. We may not be her sons by blood, but we also don't want anything happen to her." I said getting a little upset. "Aron listen to me your mother has been threw enough heartache. I love her Aron would do anything for her. I promise you I will not hurt her." He said before resting his hand on my shoulder. "You and your brothers will also be my kin and I would die for you all." He said I could tell the it was true because he would not look away. "I will hold you to that promise. If to brake it this Iron will gut you like a fish." I said making him laugh. "Alright lad I get it." He said before going back to carving. I see why she seems calm aroun him now.
