Amy walked over to her friend. «This… is your father Haylee?»

Haylee wiped away her tears. «Yes. Before stopping the Keepers, I had to find him. I'm so sorry for using you. But I needed your help.»

«Who was the other girl?» Mark asked.

«Her name is Cassandra.» Byron said.

«She's a Keeper, and generally becomes involved when critical situations occur.» Percy explained.

«Wait, did you two know?» Amy asked.

Haylee got up and let her father rest. «I couldn't tell you about my plan. Or she would find out. Percy had to make her believe I was out of the way.»

«I told her that I had kidnapped Haylee so that she could infiltrate.»

«And I had to make her believe the bond between Kurt and his father would lead her to the book.» Byron added.

«So that's why Percy found out where Michael's son was so easily.» Mark said.

«I didn't have to find out, Cassandra told me, just as Haylee had predicted.»
