After the evaluation, I exited the building with my companions: Quinby, now using a wheelchair, Hester, and Cephas. It was the first time ever for us to have lunch together, and we took the opportunity to discuss the results of the evaluation in the woods.
Our chaperones kept their distance, allowing us some privacy, and left once we had reached the communal dining area.
"I believe you received high scores because you chose to go back for me instead of leaving me behind. In the real battlefield, we don't act as individuals, but as a team," Cephas concluded.
"And she also assisted me when I was in a critical condition. I'm sure that was taken into consideration," Hester chimed in.
I refuted the last point, as I hadn't directly assisted Hester. "It was Quinby who helped you."
"Yes, and that's why she also received a high score," Hester admitted.
