(A Few Days Later)
Currently, inside a forest overgrown with trees, vines, moss, and an assortment of wildlife, a singular floating drone could be seen flying around with its white circular body being invisible to the naked eye.
'Sigh, finding a naturally occurring elergian crystal is so hard. But once I get that, that would be one step closer to making the serum.' Braun thought, sitting down in his living room with closed eyes that randomly twitch around from time to time, the TV in front of him turned on playing the news but his ears were blocked to not interfere with his concentration.
'Turn on the x-ray vision, it should be near around here, the place is just made for an elergian crystal to be born.' Braun thought, the drone's camera changing within an instant and as it did so, his eyes went wide while still closed as he found not only elergian crystals but also terra crystals.
'Oho! Terra crystals! I didn't think I would find some here on earth! With this bad boy, I would be able to make a device that can control dirt! But it would be useless in a few days once I get some quantum crystals and particles and finally make the serum. But it would still prove valuable if I want to make a transportable dirt base or something.' Braun thought, ordering the drone to return back to his base on the island.
With a blue glow encasing the crystals below it, the drone went to put it inside its body, after that, a nozzle suddenly appears at one end of the drone and as yellow light gathers at the tip, a golden portal appears right in front of it and with a flash, the drone went through it, the golden portal behind it closing leaving no traces behind.
Opening his eyes, he lets out a groan and lets out a sigh of relief, another one off the list for him.
'Now I only need a couple more materials and the serum would finally be made. The field is already there and it should be only a couple more days before I finish it.' Braun thought, a slight grin plastered on his face at his oncoming success.
Soon, he hears the sound of his front door being knocked on, the sound of knuckles hitting wood reverberating through the living room.
"Coming!" Braun shouts, standing up with a yawn escaping from his mouth, putting his hand on the metallic silver doorknob and twisting it open with his big hands larger than the average.
"Good evening, Braun-san!" Izuku said, his green fluffy hair appearing in Braun's view as only the top part of his body could be seen due to the height difference between the two.
"Oh, good evening Midoriya-kun, what can I help you with today?" Braun said, an amicable smile appearing on his face.
"Can you help me with this, please? I'm having a hard time figuring this one out," Izuku said, showing him a piece of paper that was in his grasp.
"Let me see," Braun responds, grabbing the piece of paper from Midoriya and taking a quick glance at it.
"Oh, this one's pretty simple. So first of all, we would…" Braun said, explaining how the theorem works and how to practically apply it, even showing him how to reverse the formula to get the formula for its variables such as x and y.
"Thank you Braun-san!" Izuku said, his eyes glowing in admiration with how smart Braun was.
"No problems kid, and remember to take care of yourself, you plan to enroll at UA right?" Braun said, leaning his back to the doorway.
"Mmm!" Izuku said, nodding his head causing Braun to chuckle.
"Well go on now, I still have some stuff to do," Braun said which made Izuku curious on what it was.
"What is it Braun-san?" Izuku asks.
"It's nothing major, I just have to code some more for my app," Braun said.
"Oh yeah! So how is your app right now?" Izuku asks, his curiosity growing further.
"It's going pretty well, I should be able to finish it in a couple of months from now," Braun said, taking his phone out of his pocket and opening the fake translator app he was "making" for a couple of months now.
"Woah! That looks so cool Braun-san!" Izuku said, his eyes shining with stars.
"You want to try it out?" Braun said causing Izuku to profusely nod his head.
"Yes please!" Izuku responds.
"Here you go then, try saying something in Japanese and it would automatically translate it into English," Braun said, giving his phone to Izuku.
"Uh, Sumomo mo momo mo momo no uchi," Izuku said, and with the words appearing on the phone, a new one appears directly below it said. "Both sumomo and peaches are kinds of peaches."
"Uoh! It works Braun-san! It works!" Izuku said, his eyes widening in shock at how it was able to even translate a tongue twister like that perfectly without fail, even getting context and such.
"Heh, you impress?" Braun said, a smirk on his face while his nose pointed to the sky.
"Mmm! How were you even able to do this?" Izuku asks, trying to find out how Braun managed to create this app.
"It's a trade secret, but a hint is machine learning and tons of data being cranked into it on a daily basis," Braun said, Izuku pouts in response causing Braun to chuckle.
"Well enough about this kid, go to sleep already, we don't want you to be so small forever now right?" Braun said, pointing behind them where the sun has already set.
"Okay, goodbye Braun-san!" Izuku said, giving Braun back his phone and he rushes back inside his apartment, leaving Braun all alone in the dark night with a gust of cold wind hitting his face as if something ominous was about to happen under this full moon.
Going back inside, he slams the door shut and glances at his empty apartment, walking back to his room, he flicks open the light switch to show a very barren room with the only things in it being a mattress on top of a bed frame, a small table right beside his bed, a closet, and a bookshelf holding some books, other than that, it was pretty barren.
Plopping headfirst into his bed, he closes his eyes and in just a few seconds, his breathing became calmer and steadier, indicating that he has successfully gone to sleep in mere seconds.
That was until a loud alarm was played by the chip in his brain, hastily shooting out of his bed, a multitude of translucent blue screens appears in his visions and one warning was shown.
'Intruders?' Braun thought, surprise to see that someone managed to find this island even though it was invisible, he didn't bother to put up a barrier before as it would only incur more suspicion when someone accidentally bumps into it, but in hindsight, he should have done it to not allow intruders in the first place and he could just kill those who touch the barrier before they could show it to the whole world.
Sighing, he watches the group of 3 standing on the sandy shores of his island, with all 3 of them wearing a black cloak that just shouts I'm evil.
Controlling his AI Chip, multiple invisible drones went to surround the whole island ranging from the hundreds, and it seems like the one in the middle could detect it as one of them hastily raised their arms and within an instant, a translucent blue barrier suddenly covers them in a dome.
Connecting to one of his drone's speakers, he coughs and started to speak.
"Halt intruders, who dare invade my private property in the middle of the night!" Braun said, his voice reverberating all around the area as a realistic hologram of an old Japanese man with long white hair and beard appeared in front of them wearing a lab coat that covers his whole body.
"Hey there mister, can you put down the drones first so we can talk things out? We were just wandering around and we accidentally found this place!" said a female voice from the one in the middle, the one who was able to detect his invisible drones.
"Hmm, I can sense you are lying! You intentionally went here!" Braun shouts through the holographic avatar of his, rubbing his long draconic whiskers of pure white beard hair.
"Okay, we can't deny that, but we didn't know you lived here! Okay, let's make a deal, you let us go, we will ignore this island and you like you never exist!" the one in the middle said, his holographic avatar's eyebrows raising.
"Hmm, tell me, girl. Who are you three? It seems like you three are from an evil organization with your setup and costume! Don't tell me you three are villains?" Braun said, a smirk appearing on his avatar's face.
"No no no! We're not villains! We were just trying to find a base you see!" the girl said, hastily refuting his claims.
"A base? Then why are you trying to get a whole island for yourself? Only a villain would do that!" Braun said, raising his wooden cane towards them, pointing at them with a glare in his eyes.
"Sigh, we've been angry enough old man!" the girl said, patting herself, a yellow glow suddenly erupts from her whole body and as the barrier disappears, a yellow field erupts from her as a center that went to covers the whole island, but then… nothing happened.
"W-what?!" the girl said, clearly shock that her plan of releasing an emp field to short circuit all the drones failed.
"Fire," Braun said, and within an instant, multiple deafening booms erupts all around the island as a multitude of bullets shot toward the trio, but within Braun's vision, he watches the third guy suddenly grab ahold of the two and with a flash of purple light, both disappeared in the nick of time before they died.
"Huh, they have a barrier guy, an electricity gal, and a teleporter guy. A pretty beefy lineup for new and unknown villains with my database showing they're a new bunch," Braun mutters, his holographic avatar dissipating into golden flakes of light that descends into the ground for effects, his paranoia already growing so much he was doing countermeasures to enemies that don't even exist in the present.
'Sigh, time is so annoying when you can't control it yourself. Well, I do but that's from a third-party ability that came from nowhere, I haven't used my cheat for a few weeks already and I'll refuse to use it again unless I'm literally dying with no other resurrection options left. But once I get that power, my survivability against time manipulators would rise through the roof.' Braun thought, reopening his eyes once to start making the blueprint for the barrier.
Browsing through his memories, he takes some inspiration from Rick's own designs and makes a device that would shoot out a series of points that would act as the perimeter of the barrier, and due to how it is made, nobody would even notice it if they have something akin to electromagnetic sensing.
Controlling two drones and the mechanical arms inside his lab, he went to grab some metal along with other materials he will need, and by the time midnight hit, he presses a virtual button in front of him and watch the balls shoot out through the roof and encapsulate the whole island, and as they all glowed blue, a barrier went to encase the whole island from the ground up.
'It's finally finished.' Braun thought, returning the two drones back to their pods, disconnecting from the two, he rubs his tired eyes and lets out an exhausted yawn.
'I really should start making some anti-sleep pills to be more efficient, but it would dampen my mental growth so maybe later.' Braun thought, burying his head back to the soft pillow it was on, and went back to sleep.
