Ch 192 – An Ominous Scheme

"ROAR!" A gargantuan leviathan the size of multiple mountains screeched loudly in the middle of the vast blue sea. Surrounding it were multiple clouds of silver particles; each swished and changed form constantly as the blue glow powering the particles radiated with intense energy.

Resonating with the roar of the Demigod Leviathan, the law of water present in the sea reacted and caused pillars of water to fly into the sky. They formed with rapid speed that made winds howl, and they charged upwards directly to the clouds of silver dust.

But the silver clouds of metallic particles quickly moved out of the way, dodging the attacks of the Demigod Leviathan with ease. Though a Demigod, the leviathan lacks the wisdom and intelligence of humans, causing it to fall into the dangerous situation it is in now.

Throughout its grand, serpentine body, wounds can be seen as blue blood drip into the sea. Its mighty scales were brimming with cracks, and its ferocious gaze mellowed with a tinge of fear and anxiety. It was weakening, while the mysterious enemy—the clouds of silver metallic dust in the sky, remained undamaged and at what it assumed to be peak condition.

The leviathan hasn't once damaged the clouds of silver metallic dust once in the fight, while with each blow it struck, the clouds of silver metallic dust would retaliate fiercely without mercy. And so, with the lack of wisdom and intelligence on its part, the mighty leviathan capable of potentially bringing destruction to an entire continent, was pushed back into a corner without being able to put up a decent fight.

"Capturing process, start," A voice akin to a woman called out throughout the entire area. It alarmed the leviathan, and its glowing blue eyes stared widely at the area around it, trying to find the mysterious source of the voice it heard.

As if responding to the voice, the clouds of silver metallic dust swished and swooshed with haste. Before the leviathan could even respond, it found itself enclosed in the middle of a metallic whirlpool, which then rapidly shrunk down. The leviathan roared helplessly as it felt the metallic dust cover its entire body, and a strange feeling of weakness stemming from nowhere pervaded its body.

Slowly, its blue eyes winked, and then it remained shut and sealed. The leviathan's entire body the size of multiple mountains put side to side together was covered in silver, with glowing blue runes surrounding the entire construct.

Quickly, it floated upwards to the sky, and as the blue runes glowed brightly, the space in front of it shattered. A ginormous rift opened high in the sky. The sea around the long silver construct and the rift reacted fiercely, causing waves and ripples to form in a chaotic manner. Just like that, the silver construct flew at a rapid pace, disappearing into the rift.

A horde of beasts can be seen rushing out of multiple blue rifts in a grassland. They were various and nigh-endless, bringing a sense of destruction and chaos along with them. Opposing them, one would see a group of humans wearing the same black suit which covered their bodies from head to toe, and it showed not even a single centimeter of skin.

They calmly stood erect on their feet, blue lines glowed throughout their bodies as the one in the front stretched their arms forward. More blue lines glowed, and an immense amount of energy flowed outwards to form a long blue whip that crackled loudly with a single wave.

The others remained stagnant, and they calmly watched the one at the front rush forward fearlessly toward the horde of beasts approaching them.

The person approached the A-Rank Beast, Lightning Leopard, waving their whip gracefully. A loud bang and the lightning leopard that jumped forward to pounce on the human halted in midair; a clear blue line can be seen splitting its body into two, and the innards of the lightning leopard grossly fell onto the green grassy ground, which caused it to be died red.

As if signaling for the others to start, the blue lines all around their black suits glowed fiercely, causing a chain of reaction to unfold. Some unfurled blue wings, some had their arms covered in blue gauntlets, while others wielded blue scythes.

They fought the nigh-endless hordes of beasts with skills far beyond what most humans can achieve. Some clearly exerted skills with their respective weapons at Level 7, just a level below Demigod. Terrifyingly enough, the lowest level of skill they showed was Level 5, a level that would take a human normally years to achieve. And for so many humans having nearly the same level of skill in the same group, it showed how powerful they truly are.

The more they slew beasts, the stronger their aura became, as a purple screen constantly flickered in and out of their vision. On the other hand, the beasts slowly became weaker and weaker as their stamina and energy were expended. Weirdly enough, even after moving so extraneously for such a long time, the humans in question are still moving as if the concept of exhaustion doesn't exist for them.

They still waved their whips, swung their swords, punched their fists, kicked their legs, flapped their wings, and so on. It was as if they held endless energy to take from, allowing them to continue attacking and fighting relentlessly without any hint of rest.

While that was happening, a flash of red appeared in their vision which prompted them to halt in their steps. Weirdly enough, the beasts did the same as they all collectively looked toward the far distance, and a loud bang appeared.

First, it was a small crack, but it quickly ruptured into a big gaping hole in space-time, forming a ginormous blue rift that exuded a dangerous amount of mana that caused the surrounding area to warp due to the gravitational pull the rift exerted.

A loud roar erupted from the rift, which made all the beasts in the surrounding area, especially those of wolf-like nature, howl loudly. They all got riled up, their previously exhausted eyes surged with bestial ferocity. Their muscles bulged, their fur stood up, and their eyes glinted with an ominous light.

From the ginormous rift the size of a building, a furry head poke through colored the same as vermillion flames. Its eyes were eerie, with the outer area being the color of obsidian while the pupils glowed with fiery bright orange. Its teeth were sharp and white; glistening right behind the fiery fur of the vermillion wolf demigod.

It was a true, genuine, Z-Rank Beast, as its aura flared outwards and riled up the laws of fire in the surrounding area. The temperature instantly rose, while the grassland beneath the vermillion wolf rose into flames. The surrounding beasts and wolves were also affected, both positively and negatively. Some directly died, while beasts that resonate with the law of fire had their battle strength rose by a few levels.

Just its mere presence alone instantly turned the tides of the battle; severely reducing the battle strength of the opposing humans. But they remained calm and collected, as, behind their visors, their faces remained cold and distant as if the opposing demigod wasn't an issue.

As if noticing this peculiarity, the vermillion wolf looked towards the sky along with the other beasts, and they instantly sensed 'it'.

Instantly, they saw a black shadow rapidly falling down onto the ground. Its body was an ominous shade of black, while its aura felt cold and eerie. A feeling of dread and despair overwhelmed the beasts, including the vermillion wolf, in an instant.

But the vermillion wolf was a demigod, it would of course be a lot smarter compared to beasts. Without waiting for the black shadow to land, it fully walked through the ginormous rift and shot out a burst of flames from its mouth. The air instantly burned as the temperature rose to an abnormal degree and the grass on the ground instantly died. Thousands of beasts died from its attacks, and only those above A-Rank barely survived the attack at such close proximity.

Although it did attack, the black shadow that exuded the aura of a demigod would also be smart. So, it quickly reacted and the black shadow rapidly expanded into something way out of the vermillion wolf's expectations. A ginormous maw opened filled with sharp white teeth to the brim, with a long black tongue and gooey flesh walls of pure darkness.

And as if the maw indicated what would happen next, the gigantic fireball entered the black maw. The black shadow closed its mouth, its body rapidly expanded and a burst of orange brilliance appeared for an instant before disappearing at the next moment. And yet, even after taking the surprise attack of the vermillion wolf, it seemed to have come out unscathed!

Before the vermillion wolf could even react, the black shadow in the air suddenly transformed. From its body, a long black tentacle suddenly shot forward at supersonic speeds as a loud bang erupted from nowhere. A sonic boom was left behind from the black tentacle's wake, and the vermillion wolf howled loudly in pain as the black tentacle directly poked through its chest and onto its heart.

Kush.

Black spikes erupted all throughout the vermillion wolf's body, and the black spikes rapidly expanded to form a black cocoon that surrounded the vermillion wolf's body. As the black shadow landed on the ground, the black tentacle retracted, only to then reveal that the vermillion wolf's body is already gone!

On the other hand, the aura of the black shadow on the ground rapidly rose and increased in strength.

As the beasts stared dazedly at the black shadow, the humans wearing black suits took the chance to directly strike while the beasts were focusing somewhere else. Blue whips struck loudly, sword waves cut through hordes of beasts, punches and kicks sent out fearsome energy phantoms, wings flapped behind their backs as they mowed through one beast to another in mere moments, and more.

"Hmm?" A pair of gray eyes opened in the darkness all of a sudden. They were a pair of astute eyes that hid unimaginable brilliance within. Isaac continued: "It seems like I still have to increase Ai's processing power. The estimated time took a second longer, and being a second late on certain events would be quite catastrophic. But still…"

His eyes glinted with fearsome light while a black rift opened up in front of him, and through it, he saw a metallic roundtable with holograms floating atop it. He grinned, taking a few steps forward as his entire body was shown. He wore a simple black robe that covered his entire body except for his head.

"For Ai to be able to achieve this feat, it really shows how far I've come."

He waved his arm, and the hologram on the round table rapidly changed to show a hovering blue orb in the middle. On it, it zoomed onto a certain part of the continent of Africa. Just at the same time it zoomed, a loud blaring alarm suddenly resounded throughout the entire world as Isaac Deathwill lightly smiled in response.

"WARNING! WARNING! GOD-LEVEL ENTITY DETECTED! GOD-LEVEL ENTITY DETECTED!"

Isaac calmly gazed at the middle of Africa, where a ginormous red dot appeared out of nowhere the next second. As if responding to the red dot's sudden appearance, he visibly saw the nanite layer on Earth's atmosphere rapidly morphed and change, forming a complex magical structure with profoundness that can only be comprehended by very few mortals.

Isaac's smile widened in response after seeing the appearance of the red dot, as his eyes glinted with an ominous light that would make any mortal shake in fear. He muttered lightly: "A God Beast, how terrific. Godhood, to think I would reach that realm so soon. Bahamut, it seems like you'll finally have to return to Earth…"
