I parted my lips and breathed through my mouth. "It was Ashton," I said in a whisper. I thought it was self-explanatory, but Caleb didn't seem to think so.
"I can tell who it was by the smell; I wasn't asking that." He caressed my cheek with the back of his hand. Although his touch was gentle, his gaze burned my skin. "I asked, why do I smell him on you, mate?"
I gulped. I felt nervous by the way he was staring down at me. "Ashton carried me to my room because I was fee–"
"He carried you to your bedroom?" He raised one of his brows and tilted his head ever so slightly. A glint of danger flickered in his eyes.
"Yes, I wasn't feeling well. I went shopping with him and Sher–"
"You went shopping with him?" He looked down at my dress and asked while his gaze remained on my chest, "Don't tell me he also chose this pretty little dress for you." His low rumbling voice felt somewhat unnerving.
