"Will ... you can ... kill ... me. Hekk!" Gabriella croaked who had run out of oxygen supply in her lungs because William's grip was right on her windpipe.
Hearing Gabriella's moans—who might actually die if William didn't let her go—he loosened his grip, and freed her to breathe in as much oxygen as he needed.
Gabriella coughed, relieved to be free from the vileness of William that had nearly destroyed her.
