(3rd POV)
Inside an apartment near Hagun Academy, five people with distinct characteristics appeared out of nowhere in the living room and, sadly, there were no flashy special effects like space shattering or explosions when they were teleported.
"Where am I?" All of them asked at the same time. But then sudden nausea and dizziness hit them due to the aftermath of world travelling.
*Groan*
The "normal" members immediately leaned against furniture to support themselves from falling on the floor.
"I…don't feel so…good…" Ruri Gokou complained and put her hand on her stomach, trying to hold it from letting it out.
"...Help…me…" Romani pleaded as he felt his soul leaving his body while thinking that returning to the Throne of heroes might not be a bad idea.
Fortunately, the effects were lessened to other members like Shirou, Merlin and Jibril, mostly because they had a better constitution, but even then, they still felt uncomfortable.
Merlin didn't want to witness someone puking rainbows here so she opened her hand and her signature staff appeared on her hand. She then waved her staff and the living room suddenly turned into a pink flower field. The flowers kept sprouting until the whole floor was filled with them. In that instant, the side-effects disappeared like a dream and everyone returned to normal.
"No need to thank your Onee-chan," Merlin said with a wink.
Everyone within the room was surprised and amazed by Merlin's display, although for different reasons. Shirou felt admiration and respect for Merlin by her skills while Jibril stopped looking at everything in the room and glanced at the scene with sparkling eyes and looked at Merlin like she was an exotic animal.
Ruri was amazed by Merlin's display as this was her first time watching real magic. Looking at her left, Ruri sighed tiredly seeing the doctor almost fainting, not because of nausea, but of Merlin's herself.
(A/N: Actually magecraft, but who cares?)
"It's real Magi Mari…it's real…it's real Magi Mari…" Romani muttered in shock seeing Merlin in person.
"Is he gonna be alright?" Ruri asked while looking at the rest of the chat group.
"..."
The room was filled with silence, making the situation more awkward. Shirou sighed and didn't want to waste more time so he created a sphere of water on top of Romani and let it fall on his face.
"Uwaa!" Romani screamed in surprise and finally snapped out from his trance.
Jibril was very surprised and looked intrigued at Shirou. 'An Immanity that can use magic? Although I already heard them saying it was possible from other worlds, it's still intriguing seeing it up close,' Jibril thought while imagining studying Shirou's body and comparing it with a human from her world.
Shirou suddenly shivered and felt that he was in danger.
'Someone is thinking about me and I don't feel comfortable.' Shirou thought as he sat on the sofa. Everyone did the same except Jibril who was floating in the air.
"Nice to meet everyone in person. As I said in the beginning, my name is Shirou Kotomine, the admin of this Chat Group."
Shirou introduced himself again to the Chat Group members, but this time face to face. Soon, other members followed the suit and started introducing themselves.
"My name is Jibril, a Flügel and a member of Council of Eighteen Wings, nice to meet you, everyone," Jibril introduced pridefully as she flapped her wings and her halo was rotating like a Beyblade.
"I am Ruri Gokou, a normal high schooler but you can call me Kuroneko, nice to meet you everyone" Kuroneko introduced herself.
"My name is Romani Archaman and I am the head doctor working in Chaldea, I will look forward to working with everyone," Romani said and scratched the back of his head while smiling wryly, "Also, I am sorry for showing a shameful side of me."
"It's fine, I have to say, it was rather cute," Merlin teased, which made Romani blush from embarrassment. "My name is Merlin, the Magus of Flower, also known as Magi Mari," Merlin finished her introduction with another wink.
'My soul is blessed,' Romani thought as he closed his eyes and placed his hands on top of his heart.
Ignoring Romani, Shirou proceeds to say, "Now that the introductions are finished, I think we should proceed to talk about the mission."
Everyone nodded in agreement, so Shirou continued, "For starters, the Seven Stars Sword Art Festival is a single-elimination type tournament held by the seven Magic-Knights schools, within each school, there will be a team that will represent each of them."
Shirou paused and looked at the members waiting for a question, but since no one asked yet he continued.
"Before the tournament officially starts, there will be a 'Pre-Elimination' between the students in each school, which has similar rules from the official tournament and the winners will be chosen to be part of the team."
Romani, who was back to normal, had a thoughtful expression on his face like everyone else in the room, "In other words, we just need to win each match and be selected on the team to complete the mission, but…" He paused and looked between Shirou and Kuroneko, "Only you two are qualified to be students."
"I have experience in fighting with real weapons against people and I could use magic, but on the other hand…" Shirou said as he glanced at Kuroneko who just sighed helplessly.
"I only know some concepts of basic alchemy magecraft that Merlin taught me, not to mention I don't know how to fight at all" Kuroneko said in an annoyed tone since she couldn't help much, after all, it was the dream of every otaku to do flashy techniques while screaming their name! Not to mention using magic!
Shirou took out his phone from his pocket and started typing, "The semester will start in 3 months, that means we only have 3 months to prepare ourselves."
"That's enough time," Jibril said, "I can make a domain where the time flows differently from the outside world, this way you can train and continue your magical lessons, besides I don't mind teaching you magic and physical training myself."
'This way I can learn magic from another world while teaching mine! Win-win situation' Jibril thought with a smile and almost drooling at the idea.
"How long is the time difference?" Merlin asked with a calculative look.
"I can make one day inside is equivalent to twelve hours outside," Jibril answered.
Merlin nodded and said, "Indeed, that is enough time for me to teach you some useful magecraft while Jibril is training you physically."
"Then we only need to know how to awaken our devices," Ruri said and looked at Shirou, who immediately started typing, but then he had an expression that said "Are you serious?" on his face.
'This is too cliche, but I have to do it again' Shirou thought with a mental sigh and raised his face from the screen, "Apparently, the person must imagine a powerful force or move and try to manifest it outside their body and they might awaken their Device."
"And after awakening, the person must go to a facility sponsored by one of the schools or by the government to register as a Blazer and conduct a series of tests to determine their Blazer status."
"That's too cliche," Ruri said immediately and Romani nodded in agreement.
"That's what I thought too," Shirou said while shrugging his shoulders, "So who wants to go first?"
