When designing the game originally, he and his colleagues at the studio didn't count the creatures pulling carts as Magic Pets, because these creatures — whether it was the common horses in the early stages or the Silver Flying Pegasus, Griffins, or even Flying Dragons and Unicorns in the later stages — were just tools for pulling the Castle.

Their only purpose was to act as a power source for the Castle. Besides providing power, they would not participate in attacks or defense, and even the monsters wouldn't attack them.

In the game, there was never a setting for these creatures, which pulled the Castle, to participate in combat!
