Shane returned to his pack house with his naked body. It was common for their herd to see werewolves transforming into humans and returning without any clothes on.

He went straight into the bathroom and soaked himself in the shower. His dirty body was now washed away by the water that was pouring from him. His eyes were closed and he was reminded of how Max could kiss Jade on the forehead when he couldn't.

His heart ached but that wasn't the main thing he had to think about. For a moment he deliberately wanted to enjoy his broken heart, but his main job was to keep Jade.

Shane came out of the bathroom with a towel hanging from his waist and covering his lower half.

Roger appeared from outside without knocking on his bedroom door first.

"Hey, are you okay?" asked Roger.
