Virly woke up from his stupor. He looked around where he only saw Jade alone. He started to sit up and asked, "where's Hans? Shane too?"
"They're outside. Hans won't come in unless you're all set, Virly."
Virly sighed and then closed his eyes for a long time. "I still can't believe this wasn't a dream," said Virly.
"And it's not. That's why I'm asking you if you believe that there is such a thing in this world."
He swallowed hard. He pondered for a moment and then picked up the glass of water on the table next to his bed. While sipping the water, his eyes couldn't leave Jade.
"What do you think of me?" Jade asked.
Virly choked upon hearing Jade's question. "Err, what?"
"What do you see in me? You're watching me, Vir."
Jade knew that Virly also still couldn't believe that his co-worker turned out to be a creature that was hard for him to name. He still doesn't believe it even though at the beginning he says he does.
