Nightmare
"What do you think, Ronnie? Is she telling the truth?" Noah questioned once they were out of the meeting room.
"Boss?" Ronnie gave him a puzzled look. He didn't know why his Boss was asking him. But he did know that the man ahead of him was aware he had heard everything Mia had said even though he wasn't inside the meeting room. After all, the room wasn't soundproof and the door wasn't locked.
"Should I trust her?"
"I'm not sure, Boss. But the lady does seem to be honest."
"Hmm." Noah hummed thoughtfully. "Keep an eye on her. She may be honest right now, but that doesn't mean she'll not turn against us if the situation arises."
"Yes, Boss." Ronnie agreed instantly.
Noah's mood changed the instant he got closer to his office. Thinking about his lady waiting for him inside made his feet work faster. His eyes searched for her when he entered the room and when he saw her on the couch on the other end of the room, his gaze softened.
