His right foot was already set to the front, as though all geared up, ready to make a speed run on his so-called 'new' mission. Most likely trying to avoid any potential blowup from the villain. Or rather, leave the awkward atmosphere for failing to complete his duty.
"Go!" Frederick permitted and then turned to face Elise, who had her nose touching the paper with a not-so-discreet pretence of awareness of her surrounding.
"And you! Get started with Rothwell's and Bloodsworth's records and find their common ground. Don't come back reporting to me unless both of you come bearing good information!"
Just like that, the two were dismissed from their days to no end meeting and he flopped down to his chair, stretching out his legs to loosen up his tensed muscles.
