Chapter 2

Where? In the kingdom of Ravaryn,

A place ruled by Raja Ravaryn, A Prince, that had lost his father and took place in ruling the kingdom. Despite ruling his soon to be kingdom, he needs to marry also a royalty to become king.

Letting out a dissatisfied sigh, no female had ever fit his taste. Feeling doleful of not finding the girl of his dreams, he began reading his favourite book to cope with his stress.

Everybody admired the Prince & its kingdom, with its mighty & unyielding power, No king nor its kingdom ever beaten his. That said in the rumors, the reason behind his unbelievable power was the underwater creatures. & yes it was meant that the Mermaids were the one who helped him become stronger by sharing there powers to his.

That rumor seemed to be unspecified knowing that mermaids never really exist. Wondering of Inquisitiveness, villagers & fishermen began searching for the urban beliefs of mermaids.

Frustrated. They couldn't find anything. Heard by the Prince, he quickly announced that his strength has nothing to do with those spurious made up creatures...

Clearing his throat before announcing... "I, Raja, The Prince of Ravaryn, Announce that my might came for myself, I worked hard & ruled this kingdom properly" looking back to the people who's listening to him with his chip up, crossing his arms together. Done with his short announcement. He decided to go back inside his room.

Feeling curios himself, Raja ambled himself towards his personal library to search for this 'out of the ordinary' creatures...

As expected, he found nothing or to put it in another way, they only existed for a hundred of years ago. there was no clue on where they are now.

"Sereia, let's go back again" Lilly begged as she was turning around cheerfully looking desperate to go back again.

"it's morning plus we might get caught" i replied with a strait face while looking at myself at my mirror fixing my hair & checking myself out.

Rolling her eyes thinking that I didn't noticed her I just sat there gazing at myself, admiring my face & studying my body... As if i was inlove at myself.

Hours passed by & i spend those hours with my dad eating lunch with him. Just like the ordinary we just talked & talked & ate & ate, nothing new..

Looking at my seashell like clock, the time was already 8:00PM.. My mind was roaming with ponder. Thoughts of going up again in the ocean with lilly came to mind..

Speaking of the devil she suddenly came inside my room, swimming through my circular window. (no glass covers) looking at her i give her a big grin, she raised an eyebrow & had a weird smile at her face.

"you know what I'm thinking" Both of us chanted in unison furthermore we laughed in unison as well. Laughs filled the room, hereafter we raced eachother on to the top of the ocean, the same place as we went before. We kept hiding ourselves as guards were guarding the castle walking back & forth making it hard for us to escape.

Secretly hiding making sure we won't get caught, we finally manage to escape. We could hear eachother's breathes with our hearts bouncing so fast. Taking a quick break, we gave eachother a high five.

Finally reached our destination. I sat there gazing at the stars, I noticed the moon, the moon wasn't as big as before. Last time happened a full moon. It was lovely & admirable though full moon's only happen once a year. Dejected. I just looked at the stars. It was lovely but not as lovely as the moon.

Slowly closing my eyes I started to singing the same song I sang before.

Feeling empty so as tired, deciding to take a short stroll outside the castle, at the shore near the ocean. There i saw a girl sitting at a big rock at the center of the ocean, 'she's singing' i thought. 'Why is she there? ' I question myself as i kept looking at her. She had long raven hair, she's soaked too. She's singing a song, her voice is like an angel's, with such lovely & appealing voice, I felt relaxed.

"I want to see her & talk to her" I confidently stated as i walk propellingly towards her.

"H-Hey!" I yelled hoping she'd hear my voice as she was slightly far from me.

As Sereia suddenly heard the voice of the guy, she hurriedly hid herself behind the rock & swam back to the ocean hoping she'd be safe same as her friend.

"that was close!" I shriek as Lilly was catching her breath. "yes, slightly close," she replied.

Extremely frightened worried that the guy might know she's a mermaid she hurriedly went to her bedroom, sat at her bed with her heart bouncing fast as she can feel every beat it makes.

Humans & merpeople were never friends. A hundred years ago, merpeople & humans were already rivals, humans kill every mermaid or merman they see. They tend to sell their fins, which are surprisingly expensive as well as there pearls & other expensive accessories they have.

Not to mention their powers, some mermaids are blessed with powers. A power to control the ocean & seas, to control the waves, to command aquatic animals, & more other things. Royalties tend to be the ones who gets the powers of the Mermaids. Powers make them stronger, & to have that power they have to eat the mercreatures heart or its blood.

Disgusting isn't it? But Royalties tend to be pretty desperate when it comes to powers.
