Part Twelve: I hate repeating myself

The sound of someone firmly clearing the throat rang in the silent office making you come back to your senses.

'Why do i always daze off in the broad daylight?' You feel embarrassed. But you notice the CEO wasn't even looking at you, immersing himself into the documents.

*Badum Badum*

You feel your heart racing as you see him so seriously. 'No, Y/N. This is not the time to feel this way. You are here to get a job. Take a deep breath and you can do it. Fighting.'

You think as you clench your small fist. "Good afternoon, Sir. I am here recommended by Madam Kim by this card. So, I hope you can give me chance to apply for a job here."

You blurt out those words in one breath.

*Silence*

'Is he ignoring me? Did i talk too quickly? But i was nervous. Does he have ear problems? Should i repeat myself-'

Just as you were thinking to repeat yourself, You hear his deep and cold voice "Come here. Sit down in front of me."

"Huh?...Yeah." After realizing what his words meant, you approach slowly towards the chair in front of his desk.

As you go nearer, You notice many things. His name plate "Kim SeokJin". His clean and organized desk. He was more handsome upclose.

You pull out the chair before sitting in it. After a while, he closes his last file, then closes the exquisite looking pen with the pen cap.

You stare at him now knowing what to say and do. "Can i see the card?" He asks expressionlessly.

"Oh, Yeah." You say as you fish out the card from your purse before handing him over.

He just glance at it without having any intention to take it. You just feel awkward as your hand freezes in the mid-air.

You don't know if you should give the card to him or retract your hand back. You begin to lose your cool when he just briefly glanced at the card and didn't say anything.

You clench your teeth as you ask, "Sir, when are we starting the interview?" Jin replies calmly, "No need, you're passed. Come to work from tomorrow."

Without properly listening to his words, you hastily say, "Sir, I know that you're busy but-" You suddenly pause as your eyes widens in disbelief. "Wait what?! What did you just say? Can you please repeat yourself?"

Jin sweeps his cold eyes on you. "Ms. Bae, you must remember one thing: I hate repeating myself. You can wait outside."

You become completely dumbfounded. Only after a few minutes, you finally realize what happened and deeply bow towards him respectfully.

Then, you proceed to leave the room with a bright smile on your face. The moment you open the door, someone stumbles in and falls on the floor.

"Oh? Mister Lee, are you fine?" You ask Secretary Lee who was sprawled on the floor as you squat down to help him. But Secretary Lee regains his composure by himself.

He stands up while dusting off the dirt on his suit. Secretary Lee nods his head, "I'm fine. Don't worry, Ms. Bae.I just came to hand over some files to Boss."

"Oh, okay.." After a while, you hear his voice again, "Ms. Bae, are you looking for something?"

You reply while looking around, "Yeah, I was searching for your files but I can't find it anywhere. Maybe you dropped it off somewhere."

Secretary Lee became red in embarrassment. Is this girl mocking me on purpose? He quickly says, " Oh I remember i put it in my desk and forgot to bring it with me."

"Oh, then it's good." You say as you get up. Suddenly you feel chilly, you glance at Secretary Lee.

"Mr.Lee, Don't you feel it is suddenly getting cold. I feel like there are evil spirits wandering around me. Ugh, Thinking about it gives me goosebumps." You say as you rub your shoulders.

But Secretary Lee was sweating intensely instead. He gulps a mouthful of saliva before saying quietly " Miss Bae, I guess we should leave. I forgot we were still in CEO's office."

Then only you also notice someone cold stare at your back. You couldn't help but tremble slightly. You turn around, bow slightly before rushing outside.

Secretary Lee was also going to do the same but his luck was way too bad. " Secretary Lee, I want to have some words with you." Jin says aloofly.

Secretary Lee nods his head as he slowly approaches Jin.
