I kind of knew it..it was her.

Since many didn't know about your name or your identity, they were just waiting for someone to appear.

As for who knew, like Cha Yoona, CEO Jin, they were looking at you intently.

'Am I supposed to step out? But I am so nervous.' 

*Thump Thump* 

You wanted to move but your legs weren't cooperating with you. 'D*mn these legs..movee! But, If I go, everyone's focus will be on me..so frightening. Still..I can't let Aunty Kim wait for long in front of everyone.'

Taking a deep breath, you muster up your courage and lift your leg to move forward, when..

"Mom, Let's head to my office. She will be there." Jin's voice makes you halt, and straighten up.

"Okay." Nodding her head, Madam Kim starts walking towards the lift, followed by Jin and Secretary Lee. 

As they pass by, Secretary Lee gives you a brief confused look. It was plausible for him to react that way, you just flash him an awkward smile.

After they left, the crowd also began to disperse. 

'I am relieved but somehow I feel disappointed that I didn't step up. Lol, As if my anxiety will let me. Ugh, I should probably head back to meet Aunty Kim.' 

You walk towards the escalator..as you were heading up, you could feel a pair of eyes staring at you from behind, making you uncomfortable. 

The short time felt like forever, after reaching up, you look behind only to see Cha Yoona gazing back at you.

'I kind of knew it..it was her.'

Not wanting to interact with her, you just bow and prepare to leave, however, Cha Yoona wouldn't let it slide that easily.

"Hey, you."

"Me?" You turn around, pointing at yourself. "Vice President Cha, By any chance, are you calling me?" 

"Yeah, you. Come closer," Yoona asserts, her hands folded in front of her chest.

Fighting against the urge to just run away, you stride ahead and stand in front of her. 

Still, before she could say something, you took a deep bow, making her dumbfounded.

"Hello, I am Bae Y/N." you get back and look at her with a smile.

Cha Yoona frowns "I know."

"Ahh..I thought you forgot since you kept denoting me by 'you'." You respond while still maintaining your smile.

The frown deepens further down. 'This girl..'

"If you don't have anything to say..I have other things to do-"

"Like Meeting with Madam Kim?" She interjects you.

After a moment of silence, You simply nod your head "Yeah."

Yoona: "May I know what's your relationship with Madam Kim?"

"My relationship with her?" Black lines appear in your head. 'It's complicated.'

You just let out a chuckle "Hah, I just happened to bump into her in the past. It's nothing in particular." 

"Bump? Nothing?" She muttered as she continued to stare at you. 

'The first thing after she arrived, she decided to look out for her. So, It surely wasn't a simple interaction. Who exactly is she?'

"Miss Bae."

You both look at the newcomer. 

"Sir?" 

Lee Hyun steps between you two. "Aren't you going to visit the office? Madam Kim is probably waiting for you there."

"I was about to-"

You were once again cut off "Secretary Lee, Can I visit the CEO office as well?" 

Her words take both of you back. 

"Vice President Cha, If it's related to business, then I suggest you not to. You know how he doesn't like to talk about work in Madam Kim's presence." Lee Hyun promptly replies.

"I am well aware of it." She replies.

"Then.." He tilts his head in puzzlement.

-CEO's office-

*Knock knock*

"Good afternoon, Madam Kim." You greet her as soon as you enter the office.

"Oh my, Bae Y/N. You look so lovely in that attire." Madam Kim places the teacup on the table and stands up, gazing at you delightfully.

"Thank you, Madam Kim." Your cheeks turn red hearing the sudden praise.

"What's up with you? I have been constantly telling you to call me just Aunty. *Sigh* Leave it, Come here. Sit with me." She grabs your hand and leads you to the sofa.

You see Jin casually sitting in the front seat, looking at you.

You flinch, hesitating whether to take a seat or not. 

"Y/N? Sit down and have some tea. I have something to discuss with you." 

Then, You hear Madam Kim's words. As soon as the words fell, Jin avert his eyes from you to the cup of tea in his hand.

"Ah..Yeah." You reply shortly before ultimately sitting.

"The thing is...Oh- Yoona?" Madam Kim exclaims looking behind you.

"When did you get here?"

'I am surprised how she didn't notice Vice President Cha even though she came together with me.'  You don't dare to look back at her in case she might pass a death glare to you.

"Madam Kim, I apologize for my unannounced presence. I came here to inform you that the invitation has been sent out and I have talked to the designer as well. May I ask him to visit the Kim residence later?" Cha Yoona inquires.

"Really? I am so grateful, Yoona. Thank you but no need to call him over. I have time to spare so I shall visit the shop myself." Mrs Kim responds with ecstasy.

Yoona: "It's my pleasure to help you. I will inform him right away to prepare things."

"Mom, What is this about?" Jin asks, looking bewildered. The same went for you and Secretary Lee.

Your ears twitch, eager to know what they were actually talking about.

Mrs Kim: "*Chuckle* I wanted to give you a birthday gift, but had no idea what to do. Then, Yoona suggested that I get you an outfit to wear for the ball party. I liked the idea, but this old hag doesn't know what fashion trend is going on at the moment, so I had to ask for her help."

Jin puts the cup down and looks at his mom "Mom, I don't need anything. I have a lot of clothes lying in the closet completely untouched. I will just wear whatever there is. Don't stress over."

"Shhh..." Madam Kim put a finger in her lips, indicating him not to speak further.

Jin could only sigh and shut his mouth.

You were left in awe. 'Wow, I bet Aunty Kim doesn't know what power she holds, making the almighty proud CEO Jin quiet with a single 'Shh'..Mad respect.'

"Oh..Yoona, Are you free later? I want to visit the store with you." Mrs Kim asks.

Cha Yoona purses her lips, after a moment she replies " I am sorry but I cannot accompany you, I have to attend an important meeting-"

"You can go with Mom. I will handle the meeting."

"?!" Yoona glances at the man in front of her, stunned by his words. 'How can he say that so easily when He knows how important the meeting is for me.'

Clenching her fist, she wanted to refute but deep down she was aware that for him, his mom was the foremost priority than his business.

"Fine-"

She was interjected by Madam Kim "Jin, Don't force her. I was just asking. Don't worry about me, I will just manage by myself."

Jin: "How about taking Secretary Lee?"

"Me?!" Secretary Lee exclaims with widened eyes. " I am extremely sorry, It's not like I don't want to assist you, but my..my fashion sense is terrible." 

He becomes red in embarrassment. He didn't want his almighty boss to wear some tacky suit he suggested. 

"Haha, Poor Hyun, Let him be. I told you I will be okay." Mrs Kim replies with a sigh.

'It will be funny if the CEO asks me to go. I mean today is my first day, He wouldn't make me….*Senses a strange pressure*..Why do I feel the devil is staring at me? There's no way he would ask..me, right?.. It's just my..'

"Miss Bae."

'..First day?' You gaze at him, stupefied.
