Lorn heard Lucas's words and thought.
"Are you saying I have a god complex?"
"Yes. And the interesting part is, you seem completely unaware of it yourself, convinced that you've seen life and been humbled by it."
Lorn did not talk about his past to Lucas.
"Did you hear things from Sybil?"
"No," Lucas said. "I don't know your life story. But I can still see you now and draw conclusions. If you want, I can tell you what I've deduced so far."
Lorn nodded.
"Let's start with the obvious. Your childhood education was considered elite. You were clearly smarter than the other kids, but thankfully, whoever raised you pushed you further and further, instead of simply showering you with praise and leaving you to stagnate."
"It was my father," Lorn replied. "He had high expectations of me."
"Mm. Perhaps you were to inherit a family business or something else. Whatever it was, it was something big."
"Something like that."
