The Stakeout Continues

"D-DON'T BELITTLE ME!!!" Briar shrilled, thrusting into Bil's throat.

Yet, the blade was stopped again, pressed against Bil's pinky finger.

"See. If you could channel your veita, you'd be able to at least give me a papercut," mocked Bil.

Another swing was thrown into Bil's side, but it was parried by the pinky, throwing the rapier out of Briar's hand. "Tsk, tsk… If you can't even hold your weapon, then I suppose it makes sense that you can't channel veita… Oh well."

A second rapier appeared from Briar's vector ring, all while readying another thrust. More and more lightning crackled while Briar took an entirely offensive stance. He dove forward with all his force, throwing his entire body into the lunge.

Slit.

"Better. But still terrible…" Bil sighed, hastily removing his finger from the boy's throat. A perfect hole was left behind as blood poured down Briar's neck. "And so the world has forgotten… What was your name again?"
