Stressful Sparring

"Hold on a second." Bil walked to the door and motioned for Kriff to follow them. "How about you and Kriff go a round or two? That would make a great match, and it would give Kriff a good feel for the type of channeling he'll be aiming for."

"Sure, but after I face Zac," Jash replied, swinging the door open without glancing at Bil and the others. "Come on, Zac. Let's go!"

Sighing under his breath, Zac gave Nelphy's hand a little squeeze before rushing out the backdoor. It was obvious to the couple what had just happened. And they were both glad that Jash at least kept quiet about the reserve.

The rest of the group exited the pub and watched as Zac and Jash both pulled out their swords.

"The match ends when someone forfeits or I call it," Bil stated loudly, making sure the young men couldn't complain about not hearing him.

Zac gave a nod and thumbs up. Jash sighed before somewhat begrudgingly nodding to acknowledge Bil.
