Curious, Jash asked, "Alright. But can I ask why? And what sort of consequences I might face?"

"You'll be removed from the reserve the moment I learn of any hint about you revealing me to others. You can't even mention me being involved with the incident you just witnessed and aided with," explained Zac. "But you'll still be awarded an even greater bonus for helping Jopell as well."

Jash squinted in thought. "... You can control the pay? Wouldn't that make you–"

"Don't finish that sentence. It's best that you assume and don't ask, and I laugh off the remark without an answer."

"... I see, I think." A bit baffled, Jash rubbed his head.

Just then, Bil exited the kitchen with a plate in hand. The drifting aroma caught was all the stronger now that it was placed before Zac. Without even glancing at Jash, Bil briefly entered the sealed space and asked, "Here you go, sir. And, what was your name again?"

"Zac. Hmm, wow this smells delicious…"
