Frantoch Festival: Day Five

As the sunlight began to grow thin and the night sky started to climb into view, Bil was alone. He was walking. There was no road in sight and he had no map out. Yet his gaze never wavered and he kept his head high.

His trek through the woods was reaching a close as Bil spotted the end of the tree line in the distance. From there, the world in front of him consisted of rocky hills and sparse, infertile grasslands.

"... We should be able to find it tomorrow. You just have to wait a little while longer," Bil softly mumbled.

Though Bil set up camp at the edge of the woods, he lit no fire. He took a slice of serpent steak out of the ring and laid it out on his hand. Before the next breeze could whistle through the trees, the steak was already cooked.

Eating the steak with some salt, Bil also took out a bottle of sweeta, chugging the whole thing in one go.
