Feast and Drinks

Nelphy tried her best to stop worrying, placing her attention on Jash's arm. She retrieved some water from her vector ring and rinsed the cuts before cleaning them with the ointment. Once the bandages were securely wrapped, Nelphy gave Jash's arm a light punch.

"Ow! What was that for?"

Laughing, Nelphy got up and brushed the dirt off her legs. "Hey, you're back! It's nice to see that you're grateful for my help."

Jash blinked and looked at the bandages. "Oh… Thank you, Nelphy. Sorry, I'm still a little dazed."

"You always get like this. When you win. When you lose… What does it take for you to just act normal?" Nelphy asked. "Either way, let's find a place to sit and eat. The best bet is the counter in the old store."

"Right…" Jash got up but couldn't shake off the half-trance he was caught in.

The siblings took rags from their rings and dusted the open counter. Then, Nelphy moved on to the storage room while Jash silently searched for empty crates to use as makeshift seats.
