Buying a House

Nelphy cut Jash off, "Now's not the time. You're not in any shape to visit the city, and most stores are probably closed by now."

"But there's got to be a night market," reasoned Jash. "If we hurry now and I drink lots of water–"

"No. Tonight, we rest. Then, we leave for Frantoch at dawn. So get inside while I see our guest out," stated Bil, shooing the drunken kids away. Jash dragged his feet until Nelphy pulled him inside and closed the door behind them. Then, once they were inside, Bil dropped to the ground and crossed his legs.

Curious, Hathon asked, "That's a strange way to say goodbye."

Bil nodded while taking out another seal stone. "Now, we can get down to business."

"What do you mean? You turned down my offer," Hathon chuckled but sat down anyway.

"True. But now it's my turn to make an offer…" Retrieving two mugs and a keg with a spout, Bil poured them each some beer. "Drinks always help set the mood for a good deal, don't you think?"

"You have my full attention!"
