Mayor Zang followed behind Jareth with a smile on his face; he kept wiping the sweat from his face and maintained those perfect mannerisms that nobles follow.

Just standing in Jareth's presence is already a difficult thing, and he's been doing so for more than half an hour now.

Fortunately, the mayor finally got the chance to breathe a sigh of relief after Jareth went on stage, and he himself got to sit on one of the seats in the front row.

'Phew~ after this speech, I guess they will be ready to leave… although it would be good. If a grade 1 mage can permanently stay in this place and improve safety, that is just my wishful thinking…'

Although Zang still harbors fear for Jareth, he understands the crucial role a Grade-1 mage can play in safeguarding civilians from extremely powerful threats.

If Jareth hadn't happened to be here at the right time, that bone dragon would have laid absolute destruction on Bastille.
