Fairy 26.2: Meredy

Another sigh came out of Zack's mouth, as he hopelessly watches Meredy fell face first into the ground, before he walked towards her. While the girl in question, who is 11 years old, soon to be 12 years old.

Felt like crying, when she did something so stupid. But soon that child-like expression faded, as she turned to her stoic one. And stood up, only to notice the guy that she trying to get away from, is right next to her.

"You fine? Want to heal you? I know a little Light Magic, not enough, since it is not my main magic. However, it is enough to heal these light wounds of yours?" Zack said that, while he reached out his right hand towards Meredy, who dodged Zack's hand, before she stared at Zack shows a dryly smile, seeing her refusing his help.

"Meredy's fine. She doesn't need healing of this level." Meredy went.

"Is that so, fine than." Zack raised his hands to the sky, showing he means no harm, as he slowly moved few meters away from her.

Meredy nodded her head, as she about to walk (run) away from this guy. However, she didn't realise she had sprained her ankle. Which caused her to bit her lips, to hold the pain. Of course, this doesn't go unnoticed by Zack. As he sighed and snatched the back of his head, while going back towards her yet again.

"See? How are you fine…? Come, let me heal you. You can go after that." Zack said not caring about the stoic look on Meredy's face had become undone. Which she soon shown a frighten expression seeing the young guy just suddenly grabbed and lift her up.

"M-Meredy r-really is fine!" Feeling both frighten and shy, Meredy's cheeks blushes with red due to being manhandled like this.

Zack carried Meredy to the nearby fallen tree, and ignored Meredy's cried of embarrassment, with a mix of fear. And placed her on the top of the fallen tree.

"I am sorry if I look scary, but please let me heal you. After that… I will leave you be, agree?" Zack said, as a bright small light appeared in his hand, and placed it on Meredy's sprained ankle.

When Meredy felt the light touching her ankle, it felt very warm. And it only took few minutes for the sprained ankle to be healed.

It cannot be help, for a minor wound as a sprained ankle to take that long with Light Magic. After all, it is not Zack's speciality or his main magic. He only developed it enough as first aid, since Light Magic can heal, alongside other things it is capable of.

Zack's main magic systems are, of course, Gravity Magic and Quake Magic. Besides those two, Light Magic has only been trained to the point it can be used as first aid. While his Fire and Ice Magic also the same, at most Zack only can cool himself down, or set a fire at some campfire.

Of course, both Fire and Ice Magic are at the level they can harm those with E rank or below overall stats. But against wizards, they are useless. In the end, Zack never got any intentions to train those three magic systems above entry level, since he only learned them as a means of survival to begin with.

But using such first aid level Light Magic, Zack cannot help to see his judgement may be wrong, of training those three Magic Systems to those level. Since it took total 5 minutes to fully heal Meredy from her minor level wounds. When a proper Light Wizard, only need ten seconds to heal them.

It is no wonder Zack sighed with some shame, and when he did sigh. Meredy raised her head, seeing that Zack done with his magic. And met with Zack's grassy green eyes, who also looked at her. And felt her cheeks became a little hot, with a slight blush, feeling both embarrassed and ashamed for doubting Zack.

Seeing like her that, Zack shows a gentle smile, before he stroke her soft short pink hair.

"All good now, sorry for taking too long. It's seeming I need to train with Light Magic some more… Now, it's time for me to go, be safe, you hear me." Zack said while still stroking her soft pink hair, only to remove his hand. And begun to turn around.

Meredy looked at Zack who begun to walk away from her. Feeling his goodwill made many complex emotions dwelled in Meredy. Besides Ultear herself. No one show such care and kindness towards her.

After all, it cannot be helped, she is from a Dark Guild, which such emotions and feelings are useless to them.

Nonetheless, as a wizard that uses Maguilty Sense, which also affects her emotions dearly. Meredy always has the desire to feel that warmth she once had, before everything was taken away from her. And only one that shown her that warmth known as kindness was Ultear, it also the main reason why Ultear was like a second mother to her.

And also, the reason, when Meredy experienced such kindness from Zack, she cannot help herself from seeing him leave her. That is why the little girl that nearly 12 years old, shouted this: "M-Meredy also be training here tomorrow as well! T-That why… Meredy doesn't mind… if mister come and see her… I mean that…"

Feeling hurt for some reason, when Meredy called him 'mister', but also seeing she is unable to finish her words. Zack shows his gentle smile, before he walked back towards Meredy and patted her soft pink hair.

And this startled Meredy, since she was looking down, and caused her to look up with a light pink blush appeared on her soft looking cheeks, as well a smile that somewhat broke that stoic face she is making.

{Fufufu, look at that face she is making, how cute… hmm? Master, it seems we are being watched. And I can feel hostile from them. There is a high possibility they are from her guild. Should we fight them, or let them be?} Nightfall said, of course, since the link between them. Only Zack can hear his or her voice.

'Obviously, if I see some unknown guy messing with Natsu and the others, I will also be the same.' Zack sighed and shook his head to Nightfall. Which confused the little girl before him.
