Chapter 13: A New member?

* Earth Land, Ishgar, Fiore *

* December 9, Year 771 *

* Morning *

After Doing all my morning routine I took the train to Magnolia and submitted the completed mission to Old man Makarov.

************ 2 MONTHS LATER *************

* February 9, Year 772 *

In this 2 months the things that I've done is get ranked up to E-rank Wizard. I killed 5 more wolves to add to my wolf pack totem making it a total of 10 totems. I have done 4 jobs during this 2 months and saved enough money to buy a land, but I have not decided on what I'm building on it.

As I was thinking the doors of the guild hall opened and walked in was a a child wearing red tops and a purple skirt with a yellow satchel attached on her back. Following her was a small white dog, The party stopped for a moment to look then went back to partying again.

She looked around and found me that's about the same age as her and started walking towards me. " H-hey can I know where to register as a guild member?" She asked " You see that old man drinking there?" I asked as I pointed to Old man Makarov. " Yes." She muttered.

" Go to him and ask to register as a member." She nodded and headed towards Makarov.' If I'm not wrong this girl is Cana Alberona, in the anime she joined somewhere in the year 772 when her mother died.'

' That means that Gildarts is coming back to Magnolia, since a few days after Cana joined the guild Gildarts went back for a few days and went on a job again.' I was snapped out of my thoughts by the shouts of the old man.

" Announcement!!! To celebrate the new addition of Cana Alberona to our family. Let's PARTY !!!!!!" I swear he loves getting new members so he can have a new excuse to drink. Cana went to sat by myside as the other people partied.

I ordered her a orange juice as she shyly accepted it. " Welcome to the family." I said to her. " T-thank you." Cana replied. "Why'd you join the guild?" I asked her. " To look for my father. " She answered.

" Who's your Father then?, To leave such an adorable kid behind." I asked and teased her at the same time. She blushed as she said " It's a secret." "Ok." We talk for sometime and I went home while escorting her to the orphanage.( In her childhood Cana is still a shy kid. And it's stated in the fairy tail wiki Cana lived in the orphanage for sometime before she moved to Fairy hills.)

* February 10, Year 771 *

I went back to the guild to see the job board when Old man Makarov suddenly called me. I walked to him wondering why, as I was approaching him I noticed Cana was also there. I think I already know where this is going.

" John kid from today Cana will join you in performing your jobs." Said Makarov to me." Does she know any magic?" I asked. " no." I turn to Cana as I hear her answering. "Old man seriously? you want her to tag along with me on my dangerous jobs without having magic?" I questioned the old man.

The young Cana seem rather hit by my words and ran out of the guild hall crying. The guild become quiet for a second then booing sounds were sent on my way.

" BOOOOOO"

" You made her cry Johnny boy"

I got irritated by their words and started a brawl as rush at them and punch one. The scene then quickly escalated to where the whole guild is involved in the brawl.

"ENOUGH!!!" Shouted a giant Makarov. The guild hall became quiet for a second and the members immediately cleaned up the mess lest they anger the old man further.

I sat by his side again and asked. " You really want her to join me without being able to do any kind of magic?" " Fine! I'll let her learn magic then." He grumbled as three days passed by.

* February 13, Year 771 *

As I walk through the doors, I look at the front and see Cana standing there and looking at me smugly. " I've now learned magic I can go with you on your jobs now." She proudly said to me as she demonstrated her magic to me.

" Card Magic Random Throw!" She shouted her move as she threw her magic cards and cut an apple at the table. Apparently she learned card magic during these three days. " how's that?!" She asked me with a smug grin.

"It's alright considering your just a kid." I said to her as I went to the Job board. She followed me with a pout. " And what can you do huh?" I look at her as I took out one of my [Wolf pack Totems] and made it float in front of her, she got scared as the wolf head is indeed scary for childrens.

"W-what's that?" She asked nervously as she quickly got behind me while looking at the totem. " It's my totem that I use for magic." I said to her as I took it back to the Mage's Sanctuary and continued heading for the job board.

As we were walking to the job board we suddenly heard loud alarms and felt earthquakes. We immediately hold onto a pillar as I thought about the sudden earthquake. I heard a sob at myside and look at Cana she was crying as she held onto me.

" A-are we g-gonna die?" She asked me with fear marked all over her face. " were not gonna die dummy, and I think I know the reason for this." " You do?" " If I'm not wrong then that man should be returning now." " That man?"

"That man was notoriously known for destroying public property that blocks his way using his crash magic. That's why the City mayor renovated the whole city just for this man to not destroy the city."

" That man is ---------"
