Mock Exam: James Ordeal Part 2

All the instructors and professors with security personnel were moving about trying to clean up the monsters that were on the academy ground. It was a mess as different bodies of both monster and human littered the ground. The students were not left out as they joined to fight each monster that came their way

"What are we up against",The principal asked. He had a grey hair over his white face that displayed maturity. He had an imposing figure and he was overwhelmed with anger as he talked.

"Different varieties of monsters sir",one of the instructors that followed him answered.

"How" He asked as he moved towards the main hall of the academy.

"We don't know sir", Another instructor answered. "Different gates were seen instantly and thus monsters came into sight.

"The students are the main priority",The principal commanded. "Protect them".

"Yes sir".

"I'd take care of the seal enclosing the academy and the different gates bringing out those monsters",The principal said as he was about to leave.

"Sir report of high level monsters are being sighted at the west area of the school", the same instructor that talked last informed the Principal.

"That's the section closer to the last years", He said with a hand on his chin. " What are the ranks of those monsters".

"A rank and above sir"

"Call the remaining professors", The principal said in haste as he flew. "Head there now".

Is this their plan or am I falling to their trick, The principal thought. Communications are down and we need reinforcement. Luckily,I had an invisible paper with me here. The organization should be here anytime soon. I just hope we don't lose much.

Landing on the ground filled with monsters, He unleashed his terror on them as his killing intent was enough to create fear on the minds of some monsters. This went on until he cleared the monsters and destroyed the gate.

"Let's go", The principal said to the people who were beside him. "The safety of the students is in our hands.

With that they left to the next gate.

"Are you ok?", James asked Matilda after killing the all the next set of monsters with some the first years. They had all splited from the attack before. Luckily for them, the instructors had quickly arrived and given most of them weapons but another gate appeared and splited the students again from the instructors as the battle was fierce.

"I'm fine", Matilda answered, being alert of her surroundings."This is the first time I have seen different species of monsters. Armoured rat, grey wolves, dark eagle, double-horned light baboons and so on. What's going on?"

"I don't know", James said as he sat down on the ground filled with blood from the monsters." I just hope the others are safe".

"Heads up",Enid shouted calling their attention. "Another gate is appearing".

A gate materialized out of the air and another species of monsters poured out running towards them.

"They are heading towards us",Mary said raising her staff. Other students also drew out their weapons,ready to attack.

"It's no good", Steve said after checking the surroundings for an escape route. "We are blocked from every side. Thank goodness we were authorized to use weapons. We would be at a disadvantage if we didn't use any weapons".

"They are getting closer", Mary announced releasing her mana. "What should we do".

"I heard from my father that in emergency cases", James said creating a fireball. "The school has a bunker to take care of its students. It wasn't shown to us due to the fact that we are still in the first semester of first year. Passing the mock would allowed us to have the knowledge of the bunker and its capabilities so I heard".

"So do you know where?", A student from the first years asked desperately.

"I.....", James paused thinking for a while before talking. "I might just. Do you guys trust me?"

"You have to ask".Mary said as she fired a fireball to the group of monsters heading towards them.

"Let's go then", James smiled as he ran forward clearing the path.

They went, moving up a straight line before turning to the right. Meeting some monsters, they fought and killed them as fast as they could before turning right again. On the way, they met many other students who joined them as the moved. Little by little, other students joined them and they grew into a large crowd.

"We have been turning to the right all this while",Mary said as she blasted away some monsters rats on their path. "I literally don't know where I am".

"I received a message before this invasion happened", James said moving forward. "It said turn right. I'm merely trusting the sender".

Besides, James thought. We are almost there. The sender was right. The direction coincides with the map from my system. It say after a field, we should reach the bunker.

After moving for a while, they entered a large field full of grasses

"I see it",A boy shouted from the crowd.

"What"

"I see the the school bunker",The boy shouted pointing to the bunker direction. "It's over there"

"You are right"

"We did it"

"We are saved"

"Thank you so much"

"Let's go guys", Another boy shouted prompting them forward. "After this field,we will reach the bunker and take shelter there".

'Not so fast",A loud voice sounded up high in the air.

"Oi", one of the students shouted pointing at a figure in the air. "Who's that flying in the air".

"Are we saved"

"Everyone step back",James shouted with a loud voice moving backwards. Landing on the ground, the figure which was a man with a scar on his face glanced at all the students before snapping his fingers. Immediately four figures stood in front of him of which two were men and the others were young ladies.

"We five are the special elite tasked with killing all the first years", The man with a scar stepped forward to declare their purpose with a strong killing intent. "Prepare to die"

The man with scars stretched out his hand and immediately a gate opened. Monsters of all sort poured out of the gate and headed to the students in front.

"These monsters are a bit strong", Steve said as he flexed his dagger. "It would be tough fighting them. Did they take us seriously now?"

"I don't know", James replied before shouting in a loud voice. "My fellow colleagues, it's the fight of our lives. In front of us lies monsters that terrorize our academy,our learning and we won't stay down like they want. We will die fighting and we die a hero protecting our very own. For the legacy of the Springfall academy".

"For the legacy of the academy", They all chorused running forward towards the monsters. Soon enough they all clashed, emitting variety of dusts and smokes. Different mana signature surging in the atmosphere creating a dark enclosure as they battled.James who was in the lead tried to clear a path for students to escape. Steve and the rest also helped swiftly killing the monsters.

"They are good", The man with a scar said nodding his head. "Release some high level wolves and bears. I have to talk to that boy"

Suddenly he moved with speed that the others couldn't keep up. On reaching James,he wanted to grap James on the shoulder but James moved quickly, sidestepped to his right.

My body, James thought. It moved on its own. Steve and the girls came to assist James, staying by his side.

"I commend you for dodging my attack",The man with scar said smiling for a short while. His subordinates joined him at that moment making the numbers even. "It was right to kill all of first years. You lot show potential and it's better to nip it in the bud. Now before you die, tell me, who or what betrayed us".

"What do you mean?", James asked reasoning what he meant by that.

"You see", The man started releasing his killing intent bit by bit. "We placed many traps and gates to kill you lot but you were avoiding them like as if you knew they were there. I can only concluded that there's an insider. Who is it?"

"I have no idea whatever it's you are saying"James replied with an angry face.

"Well then kid", the man said raising his hand. "It's time for your death". Immediately lightning came from the sky and landed in the area James and his group were located.

[Lightning judgement: Annihilation]

Much smoke came from the area destroyed by the lighting. Amidst the smoke, a blue barrier was seen enveloping the five before cracking and falling to nothingness.

"Thanks Matilda",James said covering part of his lower face with his hand. "We withstood the strength of the lightning thanks to you".

"Don't mention", Matilda smiled before looking at the five people they needed to defeat. " How do we take them down".

"Remember when my mum bullied us when we were kids", James said looking at his group

"Yeah?", Mary replied wondering what James wanted to say.

"Remember what we did to her"

"You mean", Steve said raising his eyelids.

"Yeah", James smiled before looking at the danger before them. "You four take on the four at his back. I'll take the main guy. Go on my signal"

"Be careful", Matilda said patting James's shoulder. He nodded placing his longsword in an horizontal position.

[ Flashy Steps Third Form: Speeding Bolt]

The shockwave emanating from James's speed shocked the rest of the group except Matilda as he moved forward locked on the man with a scarred face.

Bammmmmm

Dust erupted as he clashed with the man creating a crater on the ground. The man gave James a heavy blow as he blocked his attack. James flew for a few meters before landing on the floor groaning.

"That explains it", James said in pain as he stood up. "Another high ranker Hun"

"I'm surprised you are not knocked out",The man with scar smiled. " I will give you the opportunity to know my name. My name is Ghost. Too bad you have to die kid, we could have been brothers.

"Whatever he means", James said clenching his sword.

"It's hard", James said sighing. "I guess I have to go all out". He moved, combining his speed with lightning as he slashed his way towards Ghost.

"I can see your moves", Ghost said as he dodged all the attack before blasting James away using his mana. He then created a lightning strike and made it land directly on James.

[Revoltz style: Dispel]

The sword style James used disrupted the mana around making the lightning strike ineffective. He then lunged forward with explosive speed and strength, catching Ghost off guard by a second causing a slight bruise in his face.

"Ah", Ghost laughed as his killing intent soared. "I commend you kid for getting me worked up like this". He then cut off James left hand with speed using lightning formed in his hand. Grabbing James by the throat, he raised him up and choked him. A big fireball from James suddenly blasted both of them away. James lied on the ground coughing.

"Say your last words kid", Ghost said walking to him.

"You have lost", James said laughing.

"Huh"

"Take a look around".

Looking around, he saw his comrades trapped in a seal formation made by James's friends. Abruptly,he found himself flying from an attack he didn't anticipate.

Immediately the whole area cleared and the air became pure again. All the remaining monsters were killed in a fast pace before the figure causing the change landed in front of James who had passed out.

"He didn't pass out from blood loss",said the figure who was a woman. "She had a small stature with a hat on her head. He passed out from the immense killing intent in the air. It's understandable, he's D rank after all. Sorry I'm late. I will handle the rest.

They cleared the field, capturing those placed in the seal formation and healed the students who were wounded. The remaining mess were taken care of by the hero organization and peace was restored. Soon enough, the media was in a crazy mode because of the incidents that took place in the academy.

In a room, a boy was seen reading from the laptop on the desk.

"What's this", I said looking around. I was surprised at my environment. It looked like my room at my own world. "Am I back in my own world? What's am I reading?"

My eyes went to a particular sentence in the paragraph

"Due to an external help,James navigated the route to the bunker with his system map leading his colleagues".

"So I was the external help",I said amazed. "This is intriguing".

I felt a pain throbbing in my head. "Ah what's this pain in my head",I said holding my head.

Suddenly I fell down directly hitting the floor. As soon as I hit the floor, I woke up sweating. I was inside a train moving to Damka, the working city.

"Are you ok", Kofi asked concerned

"Yeah"

"We will be there soon, to meet my dad".

"Hello Mary"

"Hello strange looking guy"

"That's a nice way to greet"

"So it's an interview"

"Yeah"

"Well I wanted to know about the trick you used to seal those four. Weren't they strong?"

"They were but James's mother is much more stronger. She bullied us a lot so we device a plan to seal her using one of Matilda technique. A quadrate seal formation with a surging release of multiple barriers around the target. Quite the mana drain. We kept his mom there for about two minutes. She was shocked as hell. The good old days".

"Yeah the good old days".
