It was like a stab in his chest but he had to bear with it until he becomes close enough with her so she would finally stop calling him 'Sir' all the time.
Matthew wanted to chuckle when the little girls at the cafe whispered about him and Loreen being a couple.
It was quite funny since they were whispering to each other but it was even more audible than when they spoke in their normal voice.
The people in the cafe were mostly silently eating so the chatter of the teens was quite loud.
When he and Loreen got down the stairs, Matthew already felt everyone's gaze on them but he pretended to not have noticed.
It was clear they all assumed they were a couple here on a date.
Matthew was glad it seemed that way to them.
The painful truth though was, Loreen looked more alarmed than delighted.
But at least, she did not look disgusted, right?
It means he may have a chance in the future.
