Chapter 285: A Stab in the Chest
Matthew noticed Loreen did not eat much during lunch or when they ordered snacks during the meetings so he immediately thought of dropping by somewhere to eat with her.
It was his chance to be alone with her but at least not in his car when the temptation was too great.
Especially since their work was done anyway. And he just successfully tricked her into a date without her knowing.
Of course, he knew it was a date only for him. But it was still so much better than nothing.
He had the perfect excuse too thanks to the traffic jam.
Matthew could not pursue Loreen yet due to their circumstances, but he could allow himself this much, right?
Meals together at work or after work should be fine.
Loreen does not even see him as a man yet so Matthew could only begin with slowly letting her notice his presence.
Even if for her it was just as a boss she dines with sometimes, at least he would cross her mind from time to time.
