He began looking around, he had been too focused on the boulder, there was no way he could roll this thing out of here with all the smaller rocks lying around. He had to completely clear the stream of its rocks. "Wouldn't it have been easier for the earth mage to remove all this after he created it," he thought. "Atia, wouldn't this stuff eventually break down on its own, I didn't think all the stuff created with mana was permanent," he called out.
"That is true for most elements but the earth and life are an exception, depending on the strength of the caster or the spells they can have permanent effects on the environment just like how fire can take out an entire forest. Weren't you taught any of these things traveler," she called back?
"No, but thank you so much for everything you have taught me, I'll definitely repay you," he replied. He could see her just shaking her head, he didn't know what she thought of him. Walking over he began reaching down and picking up the smaller rocks that would block his path. He needed to roll and spread out all these rocks, especially the larger ones. His stamina bar was his biggest enemy right now, every time he tried to exert himself, it would require stamina. It did not regenerate fast like mana. He took his tunic off long ago because his body was covered in sweat. The thing provided no protection anyway, he just tossed it to the side. His thirst and hunger were always increasing, he could feel his body growing weaker even though it had been growing stronger. "I really hope she will feed me," he thought as he continued the hard labor. Some rocks he could pick up and just carry while wobbling, others he had to physically roll them. He could have used his mana, to roll some of them but he needed his physical attributes to increase. The sun was relentlessly beating down on him, he stopped to look at it, he could feel a cool breeze hitting his skin. Everything felt so real, the pain, the touch, the sensations, he could smell the dew in the air.
"Come here, let me show you something that shall aid you, I already know you have an affinity with life," she called out.
He wasn't aware that she could inspect him the same way Ialdir could, he wondered what else she might have learned from inspecting him. He was not too sure on exactly what she wanted to show him. He walked over towards the patch covered in animals some were sleeping others were still playing. There was a lot of noise as he could hear their voices the closer he got. He noticed Ko was currently sleeping. "Thanks, Atia," he said, he wasn't sure what she was gonna teach him but he knew it would still help him.
"Look beside you, Watch carefully," she said.
He looked down beside him all he could see was a small empty patch of dirt and grass. Suddenly he caught movement, a small plant began growing. It showed no signs of stopping as it branched out and began turning into a well-sized bush, surprised he jumped back. "What is this," he mumbled as it continued growing, he watched as small black and red and green dots began forming near the green leaves. Suddenly he could see multiple bushes appearing around them in the area he was surprised. He knew what these were on earth, "I didn't think Life magic can be used like this," he thought.
"You may take some, the children love them as a snack, they are Heelune's forest blackberries, they grow only here," Atia said.
"We are in Heelune?" he asked.
"Of course were you not aware of where you are even at, how did you plan to get to Shalee from here," she asked.
He rushed his choice, he clearly knew that, if Atia wasn't here he would have been lost completely. "Why was a beastkin even allowed to start here," he thought to himself. He wasn't aware that requirements had to be met to start at this shrine dedicated to a single deity, he needed life magic and to be a beastkin. Unknowingly he has taken the route of becoming a devout follower of Kaena, Goddess of the Wilds. "Thank you so much Atia, I was worried about food," he replied.
"You need not thank me, you may send your thanks and prayers to mother Maeve, Goddess of Life who helped create all living creatures," she said.
He nodded his head, "Then I will thank, both you, Kaena and Maeve," he replied as he reached out to grab a blackberry. As he got a better look he was able to identify it.

He paused before even taking one, there was a lot of warning signs given in the description. "What the hell is this," he thought. His senses had been lit up, when he read that description of the berry, it all sounded like a trap. He didn't know anything about Atia, she seemed nice, but he could sense the stares from the two large beasts. "If this description is right, then there might be a reason why those rocks are over there, the one who created them probably died and was in a hurry to cross the stream, they could have been multiple people," he thought. He began building scenarios in his head, it just wasn't worth the risk, the bonuses were really nice though and would help him greatly. Fighting against his greed was not very difficult, he felt as if he had not actually earned something like this yet. He put his hand down and looked at Atia, even if he could have them he would rather not take such a risk when it could be a test. He saw the little animals enjoying the berries, but he was a stranger and could be considered a trespasser.
"Thank you but, I can't accept something like this, your teachings was enough, I haven't completed your task yet," he said. There was too much of a mystery surrounding Atia, it wasn't worth risking his relationships with those that lived here. And while they hid their emotion's he could always feel their gazes watching him very closely.
"That is fine, you may do as you wish," Atia said while smiling she was pulling a berry up to her mouth.
He sat down for a moment to think though. "If I can create a seed from nothing, could I create a fruit that holds the seed?" he needed to procure food, he could get water from the stream. Of course, if he could just make fruits that had a higher water content which would solve the thirst. Maybe he could just try to grow the plant in steps, it may take him a good amount of time, but if it doesn't die while it is sprouting he could just grow a fruit-bearing tree.
"Atia may I attempt to grow a tree around here," he asked while standing up and looking at her.
"As long as it is not invasive, you may try," she said while nodding towards him.
He didn't even consider that possibility, that could easily throw off the ecosystem of an environment. "Thank you, it won't be," he replied. A small tree that wouldn't survive in the forest normally, won't spread, and will eventually die out without my assistance. He realized the answer was a very simple one, "why not just a tropical fruit tree like a tangerine." He quickly got up and moved closer towards the dried upstream where there was more open space. He sat down on the ground and crossed his legs, he did not know the exact details of the tree he had decided on. If he was going to recreate a plant he knew he needed to know just about everything and have a clear image in mind. He knew he still had access to the Hub's explorer even while inside Evotania, he quickly looked up information of a tangerine tree. He went and found the best picture of a small tree with fruit on it and left it floating up in front of him. No one else besides him could see the screen. He focused on the image and imagined the growing life cycle of the plant from a seed. Simultaneously he began circulating his mana into the ground in front of him.
He could see his mana pool rapidly draining, but he continued until he was completely out. There were no signs of change, he completely failed. "This isn't the right method," he thought to himself what went wrong. "Maybe my mana isn't condensing into the seed properly, I should try to just make a single seed outside the ground," he said to himself. He had to bring up another window tab, and look for the exact seed of the plant he wanted. Having meditated after finding his image he began his second attempt.
It was a success, a tiny seed had formed on his palm. Using something like this in combat was going to impossible for him. He also saw the noticed for the newly added spell Life Magic Create Seed, it was going to be useful but the applications were too hard and will be difficult for him to take advantage of. He knew nothing of the seeds or plants found in this world, he could only bring plants over from Earth, their effects will probably also vary greatly.
He put the seed on the ground and began covering it with dirt creating a little mound. Rather than digging a hole and covering it, he wanted to have a more solid image to build off of. He went back to his first image but this time he skipped the creation of the seed and began simply expanding and grow the seed. He focused simply on sprouting the little thing. He lost track of time as he repeatedly sent his mana into it. He couldn't stop even after it sprouted he had to keep growing and feeding it his mana. Repeatedly casting and meditating when he ran out of mana he had no idea how much non-stop casting he did.
Caught up in the moment he failed to notice the little animals around him watching, they were interested in the tree. They had never smelled anything like it before as the citrus leaves released a unique smell and aroma. They patiently watched and waited for him to finish.
He leaned back and looked at it, the small orange fruit dangled from the tree in front of him, he couldn't help but smile. He felt satisfied, he had actually created something like this.

He was pulled out of his thoughts from the nudging at his leg. Looking down he saw Ko nudging his muzzle against his leg while looking up.
"Share?" Ko asked.
"Haha, let me help you all get some," he said, he was happy and satisfied. He began grabbing all the fruits off the tree and setting them on the ground beside him. Every time he picked a fruit a new one would grow immediately to replace it, "What's going on," he said out loud.
"Because it is the first tree, it shall forever look and appear as you had created it," Atia said walking up from the side. She reached up and grabbed one of the fruits, to look at it. He watched her directly bite into the tangerine eating the peel, rind and everything like it was a small apple.
He actually never saw someone do that, "You can peel the skin and eat just the inside and eat the peel separately it might taste better that way," he said as he was handing more out to the little animals. He stopped bending down to lay the tangerines on the ground, he decided to just start picking and dropping the fruits they were just bouncing on the ground under him. He planned on sticking a bunch in his inventory as well.
"It has a unique acidic sweet taste, thank you for sharing this with us," Atia said.
He could see her smile while she was chewing, the juice of the tangerine was just rolling down her chin as she took more sloppy bites. He began to sit down, he watched as the little animals were biting and gnawing at them. He began to unpeel one and eat it as he listened to their little chat it tasted a little sweeter than a tangerine from Earth, he could immediately feel the effects though, he felt his body renewed and strength returned. "I could get addicted to this feeling," he thought, as he was eating it. It was a very strange and euphoric effect that the tangerine caused.
"This tastes funny," Ko said as he was munching on one, he was sitting on his butt just scooping them into his mouth with his paws.
"Really I like it," he heard a little rabbit say.
"It's really sweet, I'm gonna take one to share with my other friends later," he heard a little squirrel say.
It was strange to see a gathering of such a variety of animals, there was basically everything, he could see the little lizards picking at berries or trying to get at one of the larger tangerines, birds were coming down trying to get one. Wolf cubs were gathered together with little tigers. He even saw some strange creatures and beasts he didn't know what they were. Even baby animals that were considered livestock were also here. He began unpeeling tangerines and splitting them for the smaller animals that were struggling, "Here you can try these if you are struggling," he said. It felt like he was surrounded by a small petting zoo, he decided to look at his skills notifications he held off on.

"Thank you again Atia, you have taught and helped me so much already, even letting me stay in such a place," he said.
"You are welcome, Daniel, Maeve has smiled upon you, as long as you keep on the path you have taken, you will always be welcome here," Atia said.
He nodded, he had his suspicions about Atia, he didn't think she was Maeve, but he was sure she was extremely important. He was surprised to see the smiling faces of the two larger beasts as they ate some of the fruits. "Can I ask, those two seemingly seem different," he said.
"That is because they are Divine beasts, that is Hojun protector and guardian of the north," she said as she pointed to the large bear. "And that is Bentia, she is the guardian and protector of the South, there are two other beasts not here with us currently patrolling their regions," Atia said pointing to the Large snow white wolf. "They can change their appearance at will, and even affect the minds of those that see them, I'm sure you see them as a simple massive beast," Atia said.
"How did you know," he asked, they really did look like simple massive beasts, "they make a truck look small though," he thought.
"We are around children, you won't see their true forms," Atia said while stroking the pure white fur of Bentia.
He nodded, he couldn't imagine what it would be like in this already becoming cramped area he thought if those two got any larger.
