Inside the halls of the hunter headquarters, Talon is walking alone toward the barracks, it has been three days since he began to learn the strongest attribute of his Mistborn gift—the Crimson and Ivory Veils.

Talon was walking back from one of his nightly training sessions, because of his nightmares, sleeping had become increasingly difficult for him and training was the only thing that helped him to get his mind to clear up.

As he walked toward the barracks, one thing weighed heavily on his mind, his nightmares from before where he saw the burning man. 

He could still feel how the smoke burned his eye, suffocated his lungs, and how the flames surrounded him, almost scorching his skin before getting turned to ash by the figure before him.

Just the thought of the figure managed to make him shudder.
