"That gift with the invisible threads, it's going to be crafted into high quality gear." Said the left hand of Capitan Grayson, Derek. His light brown hair fluttered in the wind as he began to slowly approach the three tired gifted, his blue eyes glinted sinisterly.

"That boy possesses a fascinating gift, and it will be mine!" declared James, who bore an uncanny resemblance to Derek. Their facial features mirrored each other, except for a small mole beneath Derek's right eye.

The two of them stood closely to each other, both of them getting even closer to the three gifted. Derek casually toyed with his twin daggers, both blades featuring serrated edges with points that almost resembled hooks. On the other hand, James wielded a longsword, it almost seemed more like a piece of metal thrash then a sword, it's edges were dull, while the point of the sword was broken, making it impossible to stab with the weapon.

The two elite hunter were backed by the remaining members of the ambush team, all of them eager to jump at the tired gifted.

On Quinn and Rokara's side of the battlefield, Talon was too injured to fight, his vision fading as his injuries weighed heavily on him. Meanwhile, Quinn struggled with an arrow deeply embedded in his thigh, each movement causing him agonizing pain.

Among the three of them, Rokara was in the best condition, her body had sustained minimal damage. However, her energy was depleting due to the excessive use of her gift. One of her hatchets was broken in half, and the other had become dull from striking the bears previously, their bodies as tough as iron.

Quinn pulled out the arrow from his tight, "Damn it!" Screamed the boy in agony, his eyes getting a dangerous glint as he put the arrow that he just pulled out from his tight into his longbow, aiming it directly at the grey bear that showed before that it was capable of teleporting.

"Rokara, these two seem to be yellow rated, they aren't that smart when it comes to using their gift. We can use that against them, but the most important is to get Talon out before they could tear him to shreds." Said Quinn who still aimed directly at the bear.

"That scared one, I think it can control metal, or if not that, it can manipulate objects with its mind, which isn't any better. But it will only use its gift when directly threatened. It won't react if we focus on the other one," Quinn stated. However, Rokara responded with concern, "True, but the other one can teleport. If it senses danger, it will appear right beside us."

"Even then, we need to do something or Talon will get torn apart by those two." Said Quinn in a hurried tone, as the bears were more focused on Talon who laid on the ground instead of the two of them.

"I'm going to shoot at the bear, if he teleports at us, you need to push it away with your gift, then rush straight to Talon and wake him up, he can heal himself with that ring." Instructed Quinn, before Rokara could even answer, the bloody arrow from his tight went straight at the grey bear.

With its focus fixed on Talon, the bear failed to detect the danger approaching, but even then, the arrow ricocheted off the creature's tough hide. But thankfully, the bear acted just like Quinn planned as the beast instantly teleported straight at Quinn, aiming to bite out his throat.

Rokara tensed her muscles and grabbed her remaining hatchet even tighter, then infused it with the crushing effect of her gift, as a result, the bear received a giant slash on it's side, blood heavily gushing out of the wound, but the same time, the hatchet Rokara used has shattered completely, not being able to withstand the effect of Rokara's gift.

With one loud roar, the bear attempted to teleport again, but before it got the chance, Rokara unleashed her gift yet again, this time, instead of a weapon, the thing to deliver the damage were her fists as Rokara punched at the bears side, pushing it's massive body away with the bleeding on it's side worsening as the force behind the punch damaged the bears internal organs.

Wasting no time, Rokara sprinted with all her might to Talon's side who was moments away from torn apart by the scarred bear.

Rokara Jumped into the air and locked her hands together and unlashed an attack at the unsuspecting bears head, at the last moment before her hands could even reach the bear, she activated her gift and multiplied the force behind her attack.

Upon impact, the scarred bear plunged deep into the lifeless soil, momentarily stunned by the attack.

Rokara ignored the bear as she rushed at Talon's side in hurry, panic seeping even deeper into her as she barely functioned at this point, the excessive use of her gift left her drained, cold sweat running across her forehead while agonizing headaches assaulted her.

'No matter how much you fight against it, you will always be a pitiful worm, moments away from getting crushed.' Mocked the voice inside of Rokara's mind, she tried to pay no mind to it, but the voice got even loader, 'You will die together with the other worms… give in and I will help you.' Offered the voice, but it didn't receive an answer as Rokara continued to ignore it.

"Wake up, Talon!" Rokara yelled, shaking Talon's shoulder vigorously in an effort to awaken him.

His eyelids began to flutter before fully opening, and Talon woke up, feeling pain coursing through his entire body.

"Heal yourself with the ring, quickly!" Rokara shouted with increasing panic. Though Talon was far from fully awake, his mind numb with pain, he activated his ring. His wounds began to heal at a startling pace, the burned skin mended first, followed by the claw mark on his chest closing on its own. However, a small scar remained, a dark reminder of his failure, refusing to heal completely.

Talon looked around as the first thing when his senses returned completely to him. The first thing he noticed were he scared bear getting out of the ground, the second thing was Quinn. His leg was profusely bleeding, his hands were shaking as his skin turned ashen white from the blood loss.

The grey bear managed to wake up from it's daze and the person closest to it wasn't Rokara who delivered the attack, but Quinn.

"Quinn, what are you doing?! Run!" Screamed Talon at the top of his throat in panic, and to his terror, Quinn simply looked back at him, he couldn't escape as his leg was damaged and he felt weak from the excessive blood loss.

'I won't let you die you dumb bastard, don't worry!' Said Talon to himself with silent determination as he activated his gift, fog pouring out of his body at rapid pace.

Without wasting any more time, he charged at the grey bear that teleported to Quinn's side.

Talon's speed doubled within his fog, but now the question remained: who was faster, Talon or the bear?
