84. Serpentine awakening
Ruhi backstepped and put her spear forward. She had failed to catch the snake's qi manifestation somewhere vital, but she had ripped its edge. It made the manifestation longer and thinner in an attempt to surround and constrict her movements, but she had used her spear to impale its body. She then utilized the spear and, using the stab as a focal point, did a pole jump. She had successfully gotten herself out of the trap. A qi manifestation snake coiled around the spear and tried to pull on it, so she couldn't get her spear back. She threw a dagger at the incoming venomous fangs and nailed the head of the manifested qi snake to a tree. Instead of trying to pull the spear directly, she started twisting it in place. She took a step back and observed the snake. The punctures on it were reconstructed faster than tears. However, some slashing movements failed to penetrate its surface.
