Yes Daddy

   Eve's POV

   Aiden and my cousin Amy picked me up earlier than usual. Aiden asked my teacher if I could leave early and to my surprised she agreed. Talking about king of high school.

The reason we went home early today is because my bike was delivered already. I was so thankful that Uncle John have some sort of connection in this town. Things can be processed so easily.

"You looked very happy today little one". Colt said while grinning at me.

"Yup, I have a package just arrived. Actually it's a gift and it's my mother's last gift to me!". Though it's sounds a bit sad but I am still grateful that she didn't forgot my birthday even in the last minute.

Everyone became silent. Amy knows about my Mum because she's my cousin but did Aiden and Colt already knew?. I thought, probably Amy already told Aiden. It's her Aunt anyway and she have the right so why protest.

I hurriedly hopped out of Aiden's car and run to the garage. And there it was a very big box with a red ribbon and my name was written all over it. 'Maya always do this'.

"She's here!". I heard Uncle John said.

  I squeal in excitement.

  Suddenly Uncle John's forehead knitted. I wondered why. Then I looked at my back and saw Aiden's group standing there.

  "Mr. Sanchez!". Aiden lend his hand to shake and Uncle John took it.

   "Who I should thank for the honor of Mr. Aiden Greystone's visit to my humble abode?". Uncle John said. But I feel like there's a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

   "Your daughter!". Aiden directly said to him and Uncle John's face scowl.

   "As far as I know you haven't reach your eighteenth years in this world Mr. Greystone, am I right?". He said in a serious face. Though I have no idea what they were talking about.

   "Yup!... But it will happen next week.... Everyone is invited". Aiden said gleefully to him without a care of my Uncle's expression. I'm sure he really wants to kill Aiden right now. Just like a typical father. Overprotective to his precious little princess.

   "Please, don't rush to things. She's only sixteen. Don't give her false hope!".

  "I don't need to wait for next week, I already know she's my mate". Now it's Aiden who speaks seriously and confidently.

  I looked at Colt and whispered my question. "What is a mate?". He just smiled and wink at me. I knitted my brows. "Thanks for answering!". I mumbled.

  "Why don't we talk about this next week Mr. Sanchez, when everything is clear". Aiden said confidently.

   I just saw my Uncle sighed in defeat. Aiden have big BALLS! I almost salute to him.

   "So little one are you going to open your present. We are also eager to see it". Colt breaks the tension and shifted their attention to me.

   "Of course.... I am so overly excited!". If there's really a word like that.

   "Hold on!". Aunt Annalee came rushing out of the door. "I want to capture the moment!". And she held the video camera to me and to my big gift. Wow... This is so humiliating.

   Well, like I can do anything about it anyway. I took the red ribbon first then hurriedly tear down the wrappers until was left is the big brown box. Colt handed me a swiss knife and I cut the side of the box then a big bike appeared.

   "That is really a big bike!". Uncle John said while the others gasp.

  It was a red Ducati Desmosedici. I always thought of having that big bike when Maya is still alive. I always look at it in the internet. I guess Maya really knows me that well. My tears began to drop.

  "Hey!... No crying for the birthday girl". Colt said tried to cheer me up.

  "It's not my birthday anymore". I wiped my tears and gave him a wide grin. 'I'm starting to like this guy'. I thought to myself.

  "Can I try it?". I looked at Uncle John and I can see some hesitant in his face.

   "Sweetheart don't you think this thing is kind a dangerous?". Aunt Annalee spoke what Uncle John can't say.

   "Not really, besides I'll just take a spin for only a few blocks". Then gave her a reassuring smile. I just saw her sigh and looked at her husband. Uncle John tossed me the key while shaking his head.

   "Please be safe". He said and I just nod.

   I walked beside my Ducati and admired it's beauty. This is Maya's last gift to me. I always thought giving her gifts back then but she just always tell me my life is already a big gift for her. I miss her so much.

   I slip my other leg to the other side of the bike. It's too big for me. I can only put one of my foot to the ground for support. I heard some small laughs from the guys and I snorted. I put the key to the key hole and starts the engine. The engine sounds so smooth. I thought I need to fix it to lessen the noise but Maya also beat me to it.

   "Eve, be careful!". Amy said worriedly.

   I just smiled at her then start to remove my big hoodie. I want to feel the breeze when I'm in my bike. Amy walked near me and took my hoodie. She really is so sweet. She also took my eye glasses and my big beanie and hand me my helmet. Some 'oohhss' and some gasp flew in the air and I looked at the guys with questions in my eyes. They just look away from me when Aiden laugh.

  "Is your boyfriend making fun of me?". I asked Amy and her cheeks began to red. I laughed because she looks adorable.

  "He's not my boyfriend!". She said outloud then looked at Aiden who were surprised and looked confused at the same time and I could swear a hint of pain showed in his eyes for a second. Poor boy!.

  "Not yet!". Amy said under her breath and my eyes grew wide and my lips twiched. I looked at Aiden and there it is again those tiny sparks like stars in the sky. Both of them always had those. I always know they are fated to each other. I feel like I can see a very thin thread of connection between them something I mostly see in couples who have been together like forever. Or is it just my imagination.

   "Eve, be back after five blocks". Colt said with a firm and serious tone. Wait did he just called me by name not little one anymore?. He sounds like my father if I had one.

   "Yes Daddy!". I said in my small voice jokingly and I saw his cheeks almost turned red. He looked away and I just laughed at him.

   I put on my helmet and made a run.
