Eve's eyes widened as she locked her gaze with Henrik's intense and ferocious expression. Thankfully, the fireball she held in her hand seemed to have snapped him out of whatever trance he had been in, causing him to revert to his true form. Henrik struggled to regain control, his chest heaving before he abruptly vanished from his study. Exhaling a sigh of relief, Eve shifted her attention to the grimoire before her.
She did not realize that the grimoire contained a spell specifically designed to harm vampires.
The sorceress who created it had woven the enchantment as a defense mechanism against any vampire who dared to peruse its contents.
"How interesting," she muttered inwardly, her eyes were now on the large book. On the outside, it looked like a normal Grimoire that had experienced a lot through time. She did not expect that it would have such power. Her curiosity piqued, she couldn't help but wonder about the book's mysterious owner.
