Family Legacy

Demyan

"Knock, knock," Malia's sweet voice rang behind the door of my bedroom even though it was slightly open. Her big beautiful hazel eyes peeked in as I sat on my bed with sketches spread out.

"Come in Malia," I smiled up at her.

She entered wearing one of my large red hoodies, knee high socks with her wild hair let down as she held two lollipops in her hand. She plopped herself down on the bed and shoved a lollipop in my mouth, "I got you a lillpop."

I let out a satisfied hum as the bubblegum flavour spread throughout my mouth, "Thank you very much." I held the stick so I could press a kiss on Malia's forehead as she rested her head on my shoulder.

"Are you working?" she looked through my sketches with an amazement in her eyes, "I'll never understand how you're able to draw in such detail."

"I can see the images in my mind. It makes it easier for me. I don't know how I do it really," I chuckled.
