A Salad!

Demyan

Malia and I silently watched the waiter as he placed our food in front of us. He placed my salad in front of Malia before putting her steak in front of me, her sandwich between us and her fried chicken on the other side. Her two milkshakes were shared between us and my glass of mango juice with her.

I thanked him and waited for him to leave before I looked back at a fuming Malia.

"Why would he put your salad in front of me?" she gaped. "Do I look like I need a salad!"

"I think it was just a mistake," I smiled as I switched our food, gave her her milkshakes and took my juice.

"You do look like you need some meat in your life," she hummed, "Why would you order a salad? It looks like you're starving."

"I'm not that hungry," I sighed before I stabbed my fork into the green leaves and chewed.
