Chapter 60

Adam opened Josh’s wallet and found Josh’s driver’s license, and wrote the New York address on the first part of the first page of forms, followed by other identification questions. Adam searched the wallet for insurance information, even though he knew American insurance wasn’t readily accepted here when Adam dropped the wallet.

A couple of credit cards spilled out, as well as a college ID and Josh’s driver’s license and a weathered color photograph. Luckily, the cash in forms of dollars and pesos remained tucked inside and didn’t fall out. As Adam picked up the items that had dropped out, the last item he bent from the chair to retrieve was the small snapshot.

He studied the photo for a second then his face flushed. Initially Adam guessed the man in the photo next to the pretty brunette was Josh and a friend but the clothing and the hair weren’t contemporary. Adam’s throat tightened.

Shit! That’s me? What the fuck?
