Let's Date

Although she was a bit hesitant in placing her number on the phone which was stretched to her, she felt if she didn't, he might do something to get his revenge for sure.

Anxi reluctantly dropped her number on his phone like he had requested and was just about to save it when the phone was unexpectedly snatched from her grip.

She gasped in surprise, taken aback by the quick snatch and abruptly raised her head up to see who it was.

She found herself staring into the eyes of that one person that made her heart race and brought colors to her cheek.

"Xan...Xander??"

Xander gazed at the number on the phone and his heart eased, his expression softened like he just stopped a time bomb from blowing up at the last minute.

Good, she hasn't saved it yet so he came on time.

"Who are you?" Ryan finally intervened, meeting the already darkened gaze of Xander who had rudely interrupted his moment.

"Who I am is of no concern to you." He replied like someone who was clueless about how to act polite to someone, handing the phone back to Ryan.

Anxi was stuck in the middle of these two breathtaking gentlemen and had no idea if she was supposed to flee from here or just stay back.

She sensed the deadly air between the both of them, almost like an untied friction and knew she was in for a lot of trouble.

She slowly tried to retreat in an attempt to escape from their clutches.

"And where are you going?" She paused in her steps when Xander's cold voice sliced through thin air to meet her and her feets stopped even before she got a chance to stop them herself.

"No... nowhere." She replied dejectedly and remained where she was, keeping her small head bowed as her fingers held on to the hem of her dress.

Xander had his gaze on the stranger, for some reason he sensed a weird aura from him which was quite unusual, he had sensed a few but what he sensed from this particular stranger was odd.

"Keep your phone to yourself, she's off limits." He calmly said to him but those words held serious threat in them which Ryan didn't fail to notice.

Anxi was busy racking her brain on how to escape when Xander surprisingly held her hand in his, entwining their fingers together and making her stare at him wide-eyed as her heart thumped incredulously.

"Let's go."

He took her away while Ryan watched the both of them leave his presence, hand in hand.

Watching them leave like that ruined his mood for reasons he couldn't justify.

"She has a lover already? Strange, why did that guy feel familiar??" Ryan frowned at the thought, it was almost the same from what he felt from that girl yesterday except he was quite….. he couldn't place it properly.

He glanced at his phone and her number had been erased, it didn't bother him, he had otherways to get her number.

Xander stopped in front of the restaurant, turning his icy cold gaze towards Anxi who had refused to look at him.

She knew she was going to receive nothing but a glare from him, his aura has always been frightening and it would take time to get used to.

"I see…. so you've started to give random strangers your number so easily??"

He questioned in an accusing manner while Anxi immediately shook her head in disagreement.

"It's not like that, he… he….." She stammered, unsure of whether it'll be wise to tell Xander about her encounter with him.

"He...uhm...he.."

And the next thing she recieved was a kiss which wasn't on the list of treatment she was planning on getting from him, making her eyes goggle.

It wasn't harsh like the other ones but instead, he was gentle as though he was trying to savor the moment, causing her heart to flutter at the feeling.

He pulled back, staring into her surprised gaze and enunciated clearly.

"Let's date."

He returned to Damian who folded his arms and glared at him in a way that meant. 'Are you really going to ditch me right now?'

He saw everything that happened and right before his very eyes, Xander had kissed her and the surprised look in Anxi's eyes couldn't have been more memorable.

But still, he was about to get ditched!!!

"Don't worry, I'll make it up to you….. in a year or two so try and stay alive till then." Xander teased and left while Damian shook his head with a hopeless sigh.

"This idiot really ditched me."

Xander was back with Anxi and the both of them took a quiet stroll along the path.

It was a bit windy and the weather remained cool and friendly, brushing past trees and fluttering their leaves.

None of them said anything as they kept walking and enjoying the fresh breeze.

His earlier words kept repeating itself in her head and Anxi shook her head in skepticism, maybe she heard wrong cause such words couldn't have come out of Xander's mouth.

"Sorry to ruin your thoughts but it did come out of my mouth and I mean it, let's date." He said it again, making Anxi's feet come to a stop.

How did he even hear that?? she was sure she didn't blurt those words out.

He stopped walking as well as he met her gaze, the disbelief written all over her starry caramel brown eyes.

"B_but….you…...I mean….you can't…." She barely knew how to respond and was slowly retreating when he held her hand and pulled her forward so she could stand an inch close to him.

"I can't do what?"

"How could you possibly date me? Are you mad?" Was the only thing her mind could think of, he was Xander Zephyr, he could get any woman at any amount he wanted but here he is, asking her to date him???

It's just too unbelievable and she laughed. "You're trying to tease me again aren't you? You always do this…"

"Does it look like I'm teasing you? I'm damn serious."

He made sure she was staring straight into his eyes and Anxi gulped hard as the realization hit her, he really wasn't joking at all.

"But… Why would you wanna date me? You could date even the most beautiful and richest girl out there."

"You think I haven't questioned myself a thousand times using those statements?" His tone was gentle and the look in his eyes made Anxi nearly go weak on the knees but she tried to keep herself together.

"You're right, I can date them all but the difference is, none of them can have the effect you have on me, you asked if I was mad but sweetie you failed to realize that you made me mad."
