Level Up, and Impressive Skill

"What do you mean?" I said.

That was certainly a strange thing to say, and I was thinking about many things before Aphrodite clarified it to me.

"Don't be silly. I'll just level you up, and I need to touch for body," she said.

"But can't you just touch my hand or something?"

"Well, I can, but touching your body sounds more fun. Now shut up and do what I asked."

I was not crazy enough to fight against as powerful as Aphrodite, so I went along with it and took out my shirt. She moved toward me, touching on my chest. Her hands were soft, and then I felt a surge of mana into my body.

Aphrodite channeled her mana into my body, leveling me up. I didn't know if that was a thing for everyone, or I was just lucky to have someone like her helping me. Either way, with that, I jumped from level 1 to 5.

Usually someone had to keep fighting against monsters to level up, but completing her quest did just fine.

"There it is," she said, "it's done. Now, about the other rewards, well, you can play in the slotting machine room we have. Follow me, I'll show it to you."

We left the hot spring, and she led the way through the tavern. The more I explored the tavern, the more I concluded it was just not a tavern. Calling it a tavern made it look like a simple place, yet the place was massive, and it had lots of different rooms with things one would never find inside a tavern.

The room she showed me was basically a slotting machine room, like the ones you could find in a casino.

"Do you see the name on each machine? You can play in mine because you completed my quest. You can't use my points on other machines. Also, each machine has different rewards," she said.

I already guessed it would be something like that, so I wasn't surprised by the information. What I was more curious about was how did she know about the points and this new Gacha feature of the system? She didn't answer me, and I would have to live without the answer for a while.

Anyway, she left after showing me where the slotting machine room was. I looked around to see if there was someone else there, and I saw no one. It was completely empty.

I walked over to the slotting machine that belonged to Aphrodite, and when I sat in front of the machine, the system automatically used my points! Two coins with a 5 on them appeared in thin air.

"So, these are the coins I will use to play!"

There were two options: I could use the two coins individually and get 2 rewards, or combine the two, and look for a bigger reward.

I had no idea what types of rewards were available for me, and because I didn't have anything on me, it was better to look for 2 worse rewards than just one. At least, that was how I saw the situation.

After not so much thinking, I went for two different rewards. I inserted the coin into the machine and stared at the screen. Images of different things appeared, and they kept moving.

I saw weapons, armor, mounts, different images that belonged to passive skills, and many more. It was impossible to know for sure what were the rewards just based on the image.

It was simpler when it was a sword, for example, but a different sword image could belong to something else, like a passive skill related to swords.

Anyway, my heart was beating fast as I stared at the screen, begging for something useful. The first reward stopped at an image of two eyes, which were quite similar to a wolf's.

I couldn't believe it when I read the skill. It was ranked A, which meant it was quite good. In fact, a skill with such good rank was only available for stronger people, not me, who was currently level 5. Getting something like that certainly meant that the roulettes had the potential of turning me into one of the strongest!

Not only the skill was impressive, but I still had 5 points to use to get yet another reward. I couldn't hide the smile on my face. The feeling of getting a new skill was just incredible.

So, with that thought in mind, I gambled once again, using my last five points to get yet another reward. I was hoping to get something useful, but that was not the case.

[Strawberry Seeds.]

I remember blinking a few times, staring at the item that popped out of nowhere in front of me, just like the coins did a few moments earlier. It was a sack of strawberry seeds.

When I saw the image in the slotting machine, I thought it had to be something else. Maybe a legendary strawberry from the gods, or something like that.

But no, it was just a normal strawberry. Heck, what should I do with that? The only good side was the fact the village didn't have any strawberries, and I didn't know if that was a thing on that planet.

'Maybe I can be the first person ever to plant strawberries? Can I turn this into something profitable?'

That seemed to be the only good thing to do with that strawberry. I grabbed the pack of seeds and put it inside my pocket. Then, it was time for me to test my new skill!

All I needed to do was think about using it, and then it would activate. The moment I did, everything around me changed. It was like the room was not as dark as before, and I could see the tiny images from the slotting machine from afar.

My vision was way better than a human. I could visualize the skill being useful for me during the hunting trip that I was about to go on the following day. That was great.
