Jayden got amnesia

Returning back, she didn't enter the scan room but patiently waited outside. The hospital suggested Abha to let Jayden do some tests to ensure his safety. Abha acknowledge their suggestion and insisted Jayden take some more tests.

After two hours both Abha and Jayden returned to the ward and Abha decided to take a rest.

"I am very tired so I will take a rest. You take a rest too. We will talk after the test results are out." Abha within a few seconds seeped into a deep sleep.

When Abha woke up it was going to be midnight. Jayden was watching out of the window. She knew something was on his mind. She called the director and knew the result was out. The director and medical team were on the way to the ward. Before the call could end, the sound of footsteps was heard outside the ward.

Five people were present there, Some were Rick's old colleagues and some new faces. Jayden stood in the far corner but remained quiet.

The director spoke first," It is bad as well as good news. The good news is he is all fit and fine, with no abnormalities in his health and body but the bad news is related to his brain--"

"Continue.." Abha insisted.

"He has got amnesia. He has forgotten all his past. His memory loss may be temporary but for how long isn't known. Now he needs extra care and psychological treatment as it could be a result of some traumatic events. But later he can try Psychotherapy or cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or hypnosis. That could help him." Rick's old colleague replied with a sigh.

They had some talk for about half an hour and last Abha asked," Can I discharge him?"

"Sure" the director replied.

Completing the discharge procedure Abha took Jayden along to Rick's aka her apartment the next day. She hadn't had a talk with him after his inquiries as he was quiet all the time. When she told him of the discharge, he only tagged along with her.

Reaching the apartment, she asked Jayden to sit on the sofa and she went to the kitchen room and brought a bottle of water.

"I don't know what's on your mind but let us have a talk."

"Do you know me?? I don't think you know me...then why are you helping me?" his voice was charming as his face.

"It's true I don't know you. But I have saved you, so if anything happens to you will not be worth my saving. As I have saved you I have the right to decide about your life. So, you are staying with me. And okay, if you don't want to stay here then where will you go? the outside world is dangerous and not safe." she spoke a bunch of nonsense.

"Then can I stay here?" he believed her.

"Sure, Call me Abha and as I don't know your name, I named you Jayden. So you are Jayden from now on until you know your real name. You are the same age as my brother but still, I won't call you brother. I will help you to regain your memories too." Abha was very happy that Jayden accepted her invitation to stay at the apartment. She didn't want him to leave her alone.

She then showed him a room for his stay and told him to rest. She went to the nearest supermarket and brought the necessary supplement. Cooking some edible foods she called out Jayden for lunch. She knew she wasn't a good cook but at least she knew how to cook. They had a quiet lunch and rest for a few days as she had a break from her research and studies.

During her break, the interaction between Jayden and Abha increased. They didn't act as strangers but as a friend. Jayden was being used to the new environment. They even went out for a walk and visited interesting places in Micaidia. Both began to enjoy each other company. Jayden had started to speak normally with Abha and even helped with the household work.

Abha had told Jayden not to think hard about his past as he could gain his memory soon. So, Jayden stopped doing so and decided to enjoy the present moment.

After a month Abha joined her studies and went to meet the professor who had recommended her. The professor was in her fifties.

"Abha, welcome back, and congratulation on the success. Did anyone notify you or not-? you got merit marks so, you completed your degree here."

"Really Mam. It's all because of you. Thank you." Abha sincerely thanked her.

"I don't want your thank but if you think I helped you, I need a small favor from you."

"Sure. What's it?"

"Nothing serious but I need you to be a private physiotherapist for my cousin's son. It's just that the patient had an accident a few weeks ago and broke his leg. His temper has worsened and no one wants to treat him. His news of the accident has been blocked because he is the deputy mayor of the Capital of Micaidia...You will help, won't you?" the professor looked at her expectedly.

"Sure I will try my best. When do I have to join?"Abha replied.

"From this moment if you can. please keep it a secret. I will drop you there and don't worry about your payment they will pay you well." the professor knew about her work.

Abha sent a message to Jayden that she will be late and not to wait for dinner. Reaching the deputy mayor's manor, the professor directly took her to see the patient. Before they could enter the room, the sound of scolding could be heard. The professor was a bit nervous but took Abha inside.

Inside the room was in mess, the medicines were scattered all around. Few people were cleaning the floor. A young man in his late twenties was sitting in a wheelchair furiously. Abha tried to read about the situation before she could act. The man denied getting injected and taking his medicine.

Abha knew the young man was refusing to get treatment because he was having trauma. She clapped her head and every people in the room looked at her.

"All the people present here- Go out. I am his therapist. I will look after him." Abha declared.

All people breathed relief and before the young man could speak all hurriedly left the room. The professor looked at Abha with concerned eyes and Abha told her not to worry.

Only two people were left there.

"Who are you to command them to leave." The young man spoke angrily.

"Mr. deputy mayor didn't you hear what I spoke before. Ohh..maybe your hearing has worsened too like your temper. Okay then let me repeat it- I am your physiotherapist." Smiling coldly Abha reached the young man. When the man was distracted by her words she injected his medicine.

"How could you speak to me like this?" he was red with anger.

"Only speaking ...I won't only do that but if you act such nonsense and skip your therapy I will make you unable to speak too. You know what doctors can do, don't you?" Abha threatened while giving him medicine to sleep.

"YOU...You--" before completing his sentence, he yawned and slept.

She left the room and walked towards the hall. Few people were gathered there. Informing about the young man's situation she walked out. She hailed a cab. It was already very dark when she reached her apartment.

Who do you think is Jayden?? Any guesses?
