Chapter 16 Demon Lair!!!(11)

Running down the side of the hill were Alex, Carla and Robert. Enhancing his eyesight, Alex surveyed the area making sure nothing sneaks up on him like last time. Looking at the village Alex couldn't see any imps walking around meaning they were either in their huts or out on a hunt which either way is good for him.

"Okay I'll go in first and you guys come in after." Alex whispered as held the hilt of his sword tightly.

Walking into the village Alex looked around nervously as he looked for any signs of imps. Suddenly out of one of the huts he heard grunting sounds from what sounded like two imps.

'I guess they are in their huts.' Alex clicked his tongue as he had hoped they went out hunting. If that was the case he would have tried to defeat the dungeon boss with the help of Robert and Carla but now that wasn't an option. Walking to the entrance of the hut he saw the reason why they were grunting....the imps were having sex...well if you could call it that. Shaking his head Alex steeled his resolve and headed into the hut currently both imps were facing away from the entrance with the female(assumed) on her hands and knees and the male humping away.

Walking into the hut a shadow was cast over the two imps and the male turned around to see who the intruder was but his gaze was met by a silver flash as his head was severed from the rest of his body. Feeling a liquid hit her back the female imp turned around to complain to the male imp but before she could a silver sword pierced her throat.

After killing them he carved out the cores of the two imps and stored them in his bag. Walking out of the hut he saw both Carla and Robert nodding his head to them he continued sneaking through the village. Going from one hut to another he checked them and found them empty. When he left the fifth hut he saw five shadows coming his way. Making a quick decision he entered the hut and waited. Soon the shadows came before the hut...and entered which made Alex curse his luck. As the first one entered Alex jumped out of his hiding place and swung his jian towards the monsters neck but unfortunately it reacted in time and raised his hand to block which caused it's arm to almost be severed but it's neck was spared. Clicking his tongue, Alex kicked the Greater Imp in the chest causing it to be thrown out of the house.

Seeing their comrade flying out of the tent the imps were on high alert as they saw a black haired young man walk out of the hut with a blood covered jian sword. Enraged the imps rushed towards the young man with their flaming claws but the young man calmly jumped over their heads and stabbed the first imp in the chest with his sword causing it to scream in pain before it's inevitable demise.

Facing the imps behind Alex tightened the grip on his sword while cold sweat dripped down his face. With a loud roar the imps charged towards Alex once again when an arrow struck one of the imps in it's side and a fire ball struck another in the head. Turning their heads to see who attacked them the imps saw two human figures and snarled. Taking this opportunity while they were distracted Alex ran towards the imps and decapitating one of them. Turning their attention back to Alex the imps swung their claws at Alex which he swiftly dodged. Once again the imps were assaulted by Robert and Carla only this time one of them received an arrow to the eye killing it on the spot. With only two imps left it didn't take long for the group to finish them off.
