They had worked so hard on this!
From him planning out the whole scene from start to end and the prop team working very hard on setting and adjusting the cameras so that they could capture the entire scene in a good single shot to actors meeting up to his expectations while carrying out the eighteen minutes long scene without any difficulties, all of them gave their all for this!
And it had even gone the way he had imagined the scene to go but right at the last moment, when it was just about to get over, when he was just about to yell cut after one more minute, the whole thing got spoiled!!!
HOW DID SOMEONE MANAGE TO ENTER A SHOOTING SCENE LIKE THAT??
Qin Lixin was dumbfounded as he unknowingly hit the face of the beautiful girl in his arms with his raspy breaths. His mind was still stuck on the word 'cut'. What did that mean?
Both the bodies that were within a very intimate range kept floating on the surface of the water in a strange eye contact with rough waves hitting them.
The girl unconsciously gripped the only source of warmth tightly and took heavy breaths when she felt the frosty air touching her bare skin. She looked up at the pumped-up face of the man that was carved in the most beautiful way she had ever seen.
Somebody on the ship thought she was drowning and jumped right away to save her. Woah! Just like a movie! Had she been someone with the right heart, who knew if he could have become her first love?
Too bad, there was not someone else on her behalf!
Qin Lixin on the other side was taking a long time to process what just happened. He had seen a girl lying on the pavement and a man appearing behind her.
The man came to her, bent down and put his fingers on her neck to check the nerves. After that, he went to stand in front of her and turned his back to her while facing the sea.
Right then, the girl slowly stood up from her place and cautiously started dragging her body towards the port. But to her misfortune, the man found her sooner than expected and ran after her.
The next second, she jumped right into the sea and felt her body being taken by the strong waves. And that was when he jumped...to save the damsel in distress or...so he had thought.
The lady cleared her throat to burst the bubble he was staying in, "Sir, thanks for sav- I mean helping me, but there was no need of it."
She couldn't even blame the man because the whole area for the day was set in a way that not a single person, camera or mics would be visible. The alterations were made to the street lights as well.
Instead of using the regular lights they used in dramas, the production crew went as far as to provide the streetlights on the pavement with a high-voltage supply after modifying them so they could shine brightly.
That's why, even from the ship, she was visible to them. All of it was done to shoot the scene from the best of the angles.
"Uhm- a shooting is going on here for a drama."
Shooting?
What kind of shooting was this where except for these two no one was in sight? He blankly diverted his eyes to look around the pavement in front of him where several people, one by one, started to arise from the shadows. An empty area even got filled with a bunch of people within a minute!
Yang Feiyu, Xu Haotian and Liang Guohua were taking heavy breaths as they arrived at the place of the event after running from the dock of the port.
On the way, Yang Feiyu had cursed his dear friend countless number of times for making them run on such a cold night to the place that had no direct path to go to since it was slightly on the back side of the port.
Maybe because they were on a moving ship, they hadn't thought it to be this far since Qin Lixin had reached the girl quickly.
They soon located Qin Lixin and only after seeing the smoke coming out of their friend's mouth as he glared at the lady, they heaved a sigh of relief. Though they were not sure if the smoke was out of anger or cold, they still felt glad, at least he was not hovering on the surface of the water as a slice of dead meat.
"WHO ARE YOU? How come you entered the place that is clearly restric- Yo-young Master Xu?" Director Song had rushed in furiously but his body stiffened and he stammered when he saw the future heir of Glimmer Entertainment standing in front.
Because they were in a clear light now, even Xu Haotian recognized him. "Director Song?"
The Xu Family was not exactly in the entertainment business but one of their subsidiaries was. Because it was the top agency of the country that had brought them a good amount of profit, they put great focus on it, hence, Xu Haotian was aware of Director Song. He had been the director of several films produced by them.
Even now, he was known to be working on the new drama being produced by their agency 'A Mystery'.
"Director Song? I did not expect to meet you here. What are you doing here?"
Director Song was delighted on hearing the question, "It's indeed a great surprise, Young Master Xu. We are currently shooting a scene of 'A Mystery' that is expected to air sometime in February next year."
"In three months? That's nice." So, indeed a shooting was going on here. Xu Haotian glanced at his friend sympathetically who was still drifting on the water having a tight hold on the lady. Qin Lixin was better without ever helping somebody.
What a disgrace to his such a majestical and rare munificence!
For Director Song still had a microphone by his side, Qin Lixin couldn't believe that what he saw, for which he put himself in danger was just...a misunderstanding; a mere shooting?
For god sake, a shooting?! He took back what he said before! The day was indeed getting worse!!
It was rare for him to become generous and display a very infrequent kindness. And today, when he saw her struggling in the water, a certain string of his heart was pulled, causing him to jump in the water without thinking about anything.
But that just went in vain.
Damn!
If the girl was dying, he should have just let her die! It was still better than the embarrassment he was feeling after making a fool out of himself.
