Chapter 35: Plan B

"Friend, what's going on?" Ricardo asked as he searched her face. She knew her eyes already reported the fact that she had been crying and that tear stains were probably all over her face.

Sammy looked at her friend and smiled tightly. And she had thought him to be the chatter mouth. Why hadn't she thought of Nelly as the Chief reporter in gossip news telling?

"I am leaving. Ask Nelly to tell you why. She made sure I would lose this opportunity. I am sure she will be more than to give a recount of the story she has been going around telling."

Ricardo looked confused. Sammy pushed past him and walked out the doors of Polar Stars, swearing to never step her feet or have anything to do with this place again.

As she walked the distance to the penthouse, her brain was going a million miles per second. What had she expected? Good things never happened to Samantha Jackson. She was the bringer of bad karma. The unlucky one. Nothing good lasted for her.
