"I was planning on going to the cinema, I hope that'd be a place you would like," said Brume.
"As I said, I'll go with you anywhere."
"Settled then. Both of you want to leave me here alone. I'd love to go with you too, but I figured I'll just be the third wheel distracting the good moments." Aisha stood up. "Baby girl, don't tell me you want to go out dressed like this. Wear something nice."
"There was no plan to wear this. I'll go and change my clothes right away."
Brume sat down in the parlour alone, pressing the remote control to the Dstv remote control, changing the channels while he waited for Nkechi to get done with her dressing.
There was a knock on the door, neither Aisha nor Nkechi came out to check who it was, so he decided to go check it out for himself. He opened the door and it was a delivery man, he came to deliver a package for Aisha.
"Aisha, you have a delivery man waiting for you at the door," shouted Brume.
"Hold on she'll be right out soon," he continued.
"Are you ready for me?" asked Nkechi.
Brume turned around to see Nkechi and he was lost for words for how to describe how much more beautiful she was looking. Aisha walked past him to go collect her package.
"Just tell her she's looking beautiful. I can see it written all over you," said Aisha after she received the package.

The day was a very good day to try again, not giving up was the only plan. It had to be the perfect date for both of them, Efe took out his notepad and wrote down possible conversations they should talk about, different places they'd visit for the short time they would be out.
Efe had all he needed to be mapped out, he took off his clothes and went into the bathroom to have his bath, got dressed and left the house. He thought about getting a gift for her when he gets to her place, but he has no idea of what to get, so he called Aisha, and she gave him an idea of what to buy.
"I hope all my plans would fall in place perfectly," Efe said to himself as he knocked on the door.
"Welcome, Efe. Come in," said Aisha.
"Thank you." Efe walked in and stood beside the couch.
"Have a seat, I was about to go have my bath."
"Is Nkechi in?"
"No, she is not. She went out with someone."
"Someone? Did she not remember that we were supposed to go out today? Is it the same 'someone' that got her the bicycle of yesterday?" Efe punched the couch.
"Calm down, Efe. Have a sit. Let me get you water to drink."
"I can't believe she's making me feel like a fool." He walked around and sat down.
Aisha went in to get him a glass of water and sat down beside him. He quickly drank the water, dropped the glass on the stool and handed Aisha the gift he got for Nkechi, to keep for her whenever she returned and he stood up to leave.
"Thanks for the chocolates and biscuits, but these are for me. I couldn't tell you she went out, I didn't know how to tell you." Aisha stood up and walked to him. "Come back and have a sit, let me go have my bath, we could go out together."
Efe thought about it for a while, then went back to sit down. Aisha quickly rushed in to halve her bath, got dressed and was ready to go out.
"I know you didn't plan to go out with me, but at least we both have nothing to do, we could at least make the best of it." She held his hands, and he stood up from the couch.
"So, where would you like to go to, Aisha?"
"Anywhere is fine, I don't mind." She turned off the light on their way out. "Don't forget your bicycle again."
Efe picked up the bicycle and put it in the boot of the car. Aisha could read the body language that he wasn't happy but she couldn't do anything. Efe saw all the signs that Nkechi wasn't really into him, but he kept pushing his luck regardless. The expectations put into all of it had been shattered.
"Aisha, can you drive?" Efe stretched out his hands to give Aisha the car key. "I don't feel focused right now."
"Don't be ridiculous Efe, stop acting like a child. If you can't drive, we could take a taxi. Your car will be safe here, whenever we come back."
"You won't understand, I am not myself right now."
"Snap back to reality Efe, I am trying so hard not to get angry. Here I am willing to go out with you so you don't think too much and get depressed and you're not appreciative." She walked out of the gate and stopped a taxi. "Are you going or not?" She asked Efe, then opened the door of the taxi and sat on the seat.
Efe sluggishly walked to the taxi and entered.
"Where are we going to Efe, the driver is waiting for directions."
"Please, take us to A-Class Park."
"Okay, sir," replied the taxi driver.
It was a 10-minute drive to A-Class park, the taxi drove past the gate and stopped at the car park. They both got out of the taxi, paid and walked to the restaurant section, sat down and called the attention of the waitress.

"It has been such a long time since I came to the cinemas. The movie was so interesting," said Nkechi.
"I am glad you like it," replied Brume.
After the movie, they took a walk around the environment, holding hands and talking about their various interests, as a way of getting to know more about themselves. They realised they had lots of things in common and it made it a lot easier for them to get along well.
"I have never had a boyfriend before, and I know we aren't dating yet but I feel we are already."
"Neither have I. I have had lots of flings though, but never dated any girl for any reason."
"Lots of flings?" Nkechi removed her hands and they stopped holding hands. "So, you just want this to be a fling and nothing serious?"
"No, I didn't mean it that way." Brume walked in front and turned to face her. "I just meant I have never taken dating seriously."
"Exactly, you won't take me seriously." Nkechi walked away.
