I'm back! (no chapter)

Hey guys, how's it going? I hope you're all doing well.

I want to start by apologizing for my long absence from the platform, and I'm here to explain why I've been disconnected these past months.

A few months ago, at the end of July to be specific, I was in a car accident. The taxi I was riding in crashed into a truck, and as a result, several people were injured. In my case, I suffered fractures in my legs and a severe abdominal injury that required multiple surgeries.

As you can imagine, it wasn't easy—at all. Honestly, it's been the toughest thing I've gone through in my 28 years. I spent an entire week in the ICU due to an infection in my abdominal wound, and after that, I was hospitalized for a month while they prepared for the rest of the surgeries.

After that, I've been recovering at home, slowly trying to regain mobility in my legs, unable to do much besides lying in bed.

As some of you know, I'm a surgery resident at a hospital in Peru, so I was fully aware of my prognosis. Being on the side of the doctors who perform surgeries didn't prepare me for what it's like to be on the patient's side.

My recovery is going well. I can move around now, albeit slowly, with a wheelchair, of course. I hope to be able to walk again by next year. That said, while my prognosis isn't bad, the mental state I was in (and still am to some extent) prevented me from doing many things—including writing.

I've been attending therapy sessions as part of my rehabilitation program, and they've helped me a lot. My therapist recommended that, now that I have a bit more mobility, I start writing again as a way to release the mental tension I'm still dealing with.

At first, I thought it was a bad idea—I didn't feel like doing it. But after giving it some thought, I realized I have a lot on my mind and would like to express it somehow, and what better way than through writing?

I may not update my fanfics immediately, but rest assured, I'll start doing so in the coming weeks. Logging into Webnovel today and reading some supportive comments brought a genuine smile to my face.

Once again, I hope you can forgive me for not sharing this sooner. But I'm here now, and I'll be back to writing (^_^)
