DAVE VS JAKE II

"What!!"

"How can the capital instruct someone outside the school's authority without informing the authority itself?"

"I don't believe this! I am going there to ask for an explanation for this Ingenious act"

These angry comments are being made in the VIP booth by Lawrence and Manuel. Although they were confused as to why all four students for the semi-final are on the platform, they immediately exploded with anger after hearing the announcement that the referee made. But before they could go down to the platform to ask for an explanation, Long suddenly said.

"You don't have to go there, the capital has already informed me of this matter"

"Oh, since they informed you then everything is settled," said Lawrence as he sat back on his chair along with Manuel.

"They also informed me of something else," said Long with a helpless smile.

"Oh, what did they inform you?" asked both Manuel and Lawrence with a curious expression.

Back In the coliseum, the audience was causing chaos with their uproar while the students On the platform wore an incredulous expressions as they stood motionlessly on their spot. Well, all except Dave who looked at the VIP booth with a deep gaze.

'It seems they already knew that this will happen sighed Dave as he looked back at Tang with an expressionless gaze.

"Quiet!!"

Shocked by the intense shockwave that spread from their mouth of Tang, the audience quieted down.

'So strong!' thought Dave as he equally had a shocked expression on his face.

"Without delaying more time, I shall start the first ever Four-way battle"

After looking at each of the students and getting a slight nod from each of them, he suddenly announced as he vanished from the spot he was in.

"Fight!"

But coincidentally, after the battle commenced, the two unknown opponents pounced on Dave while avoiding the stunned Jake.

'That's to be expected' thought Dave as he just stood motionlessly at his spot in the arena.

<WATER CURRENT>

<TWISTER>

After discovering that Dave wasn't doing anything sneakily, Selena and Louis wore confident smiles as they cast their spells not knowing that Jake was slightly shaking his head as he entered into his battle stance while wielding his sword.

Before their spell could reach Dave, he suddenly vanished from where he stood.

"Huh?"

"What just happened?"

While confused by the sudden turn of events, they immediately halted their charge while figuring out what was going on. But before they could understand what was going on, they felt a huge force kicking them out of the platform which resulted in them being disqualified.

<LIGHT FLASH>

'Why am I having a deja vu?' thought Dave as he looked at the two unconscious students outside the platform.

"Behind you" whispered Jake as he did a simple slash with the back of his sword toward Dave's head.

<SPACE WARP>

But strangely, when the sword touched Dave's head, it effortlessly slashed through it just like slashing simple but compressed air

'Huh? is his body this weak?' thought Jake as he had a disappointed expression on his face. But suddenly, he heard a familiar voice at the other end of the platform which rekindled his battle intent.

"Why don't you come at me to find out"

<SUBSTITUTE>

"As you wish" replied Jake as a gaseous substance came out of Jake's body and slowly the environment right above the platform.

<ILLUSION REALM>

'Things are about to get serious' thought Dave as he quickly brought out his unranked sabers while staring at Jake with both his eyes and his mental powers. But not long after, Jake suddenly vanished from where he stood.

Surprisingly, Dave didn't even flick from that discovery as he still stared at that spot Jake was previously in. Suddenly, Dave quickly did a turn to block an incoming strike behind him while activating a spell.

<LIGHT HALO>

The blinding light quickly dispersed the mist in the environment which resulted in exposing Jake's location.

'Looks like a sneak attack won't work' thought Jake as he changed his current battle style by quickly doing slashes at the air which brought out a curved line filled with a starry sky color.

<SPACE DISTORTION>

This spell causes havoc to any air it passes through which made the environment on the platform chaotic along with almost spreading toward the audience. But before it could get past the platform, a barrier abruptly came up and made the chaotic air crash on it. After trembling a little from the first impact, the barrier finally stabilized.

'I don't want this fight to be a prolonged one' thought Dave while dodging the spell coming his way. Suddenly, five Dave came out of the original one and began to approach Jake while dodging the spell.

<CLONE CHAOS>

'Hmph, don't think this can work on me' thought Jake with an arrogant smile while immediately activating another spell.

<MISTY CLONE>

This spell made five Jakes immediately come out of the original and approached Dave's clone in its charge. But right when the two clones were about to clash, one of the clones suddenly activated two spells at the same time.

<DARK CLOAK>

<LIGHT FLASH>

That same clone suddenly zoomed past all the spells Jake activated and quickly placed one of his sabers close to Jake's throat.

"Surrender," said Dave's clone as he looked at Jake coldly. But surprisingly, Jake had a calm expression as he ask.

"How?"

"Just surrender and you will find out" replied Dave's clone

Although there was a slight unwillingness on his face, he still said with a dignified expression.

"I surrender"

After making Jake surrender while deactivating his spell, he deactivated his spell which made all the clones disappear.

Apparently, the one right in front of Jake was the original one while the one that was where he previously stood slowly disappeared. How he did it was that he simply switched places with the clone as he activated the spell without his opponent noticing.

"The winner of this year's new students sparring competition goes to Dave Stark"
